Seriously. I don't think there has been a time that I have been on the boards, that I haven't seen you reply within MAYBE 20 minutes or half an hour at the most! I know why I was up at 3am, but I was totally not expecting a response from you at that time!
Small local ones are continuing to close all over the USA. Drive ins will probably still be around for now though.
Drive ins are popular all across America and was considered an economically affordable family treat a couple times in the summer. Some of the big companies are closing their theaters in districts that they think will no longer be economically viable post pandemic and that makes me sad. More jobs will be lost due to streaming as well.
Honestly Buzz, the only thing even remotely chuckle-worthy in that piece was the comparison of Donald Trump to Kevin O'Leary, who apparently only to still exists on Shark Tank (the US version of Dragon's Den). I realize CBC produced it but since comedy is one thing we're actually pretty good at up here, I think we could have done waaaay better, eh.
I actually don't mind that one. The Part 2 that they came out with is worse...like they were grasping at straws.

There was a funny video about American/Canadian stereotypes from Dating Beyond Borders YouTube channel but I couldn’t post it due to the cursing.
Au contraire, Buzz...this one is actually hilarious. "...me either, but I feel triggered" and "...This Hour has 22 Minutes - Rob Ford Edition" and "...get out of my house...Europe..." That's all pure comedy GOLD right there. 
Buzz, I share that video with people all of the time (in fact, I may have shared it on this thread before, back in the early days???) as a way to play up Canadian stereotypes. I find it funny. It never gets old. I don't know what @ronandannette is talking about...ha! I usually share the old Molson commercials at the same time (the "Where's your beaver, eh?" and the office guy who "turtles" the other office worker who is making fun of him, like they are dropping gloves). Canadians don't mind making fun of themselves and embracing the stereotypes, though at times it can be a little much...like the American guy we invited over for Canadian Thanksgiving one year who thought he was going to be served Canada goose instead of turkey.
Is it wrong that I thought of Buzz when I viewed that part? (Not that I want him to get out, but that he would find more comradeship in Europe than in Canada with his soccer stuff.)

Europeans often make fun of North Americans for liking/not liking the sport and think we are all unintelligent when we try to explain ours views on it. If I walk into a pub in England and say I’m American, the first thing they will tell me is that I’m an idiot in regards to the sport and that MLS is poor quality (99% of them have never watched the league). I actually have a better time talking to a North American causal/non-soccer fan about the sport than a die hard European fan. Most Europeans want a World Cup with only top Euro and South American national teams because they believe the rest of the world isn’t worthy to compete. And that makes me sad since soccer is supposed to be the most democratic and inclusive sport in the world.Is it wrong that I thought of Buzz when I viewed that part?
