interesting.....your curiosity demonstrates that relevancy is only to that which happens in your backyard. Canadian culture is very much ingrained into our Yuma life style and we americans have embraced those Canadians who choose to participate in our border culture. These Canadians , who have been neighbors for 10 years, acted as commuinty to help those on our street, but now there decision making and future have been hobbled by covid and what future it may bring, have to give up a lifestyle, after being wheat farmers and feeding the world, have to give up warm winters in Yuma and embrace the cold
you state that we are not the same....well....here on my street that great Canadian couple where just like us and newcomers to our street could never tell the difference......well wait....ask a neighboring American for help and good luck with that,,,,but these folks, always availed with a helping hand and the skills to do so. after spending time with them, the one truth that I have discovered is that the bureaucracy of the two countries do not make us good allies or neighbors.
