Americans and Canadians culture Q&A Thread.

He has citizenship to both Australia and the U.S. but for sure spent most of his life as an Australian citizen but moved to the U.S. about 50 years ago. Guess he technically is Australian-American as he has retained his citizenship in Australia.
Yes. I knew that, but it didn't work out as well for illustrative purposes...ha ha!

Avicii was actually Swedish. I thought he was American too.
The Scandinavia region is fairly popular amongst artists and DJs like him. 90s and early 2000s hit songs you'd probably be surprised at where the artists come from. A very popular song in the early 2000s you couldn't escape was Rednex's version of "Cotton-Eyed Joe".

Collectively it's more Eurodance style although Avicii IMO lead the way in a more modern style as well as David Guetta (who is from France), theirs is like EDM, house, progressive house, etc.

Now everyone admit you totally listened to "What does the fox say" by Ylvis (a Norwegian group) when it came out :rotfl:

The many Americans that Canadians are apologizing to for them.
While I am sure "many" might be possible, I feel they are TREASURES :)
(no, not really for me), but I didn't want them sent back to Canada so easily ... perhaps there are other candidates currently residing in the US, that recently came from Canada, that we can send back :duck:
