American Idol...voting by text???

I voted by text twice tonight. In return, I got 8 messages back from AT&T and they keep coming! I had to turn my phone on silent, it was driving me crazy!!! Is this "normal"??? It's the first time I ever texted a vote, and now I'm totally regretting it!!

Do any of the texts that you have received have instructions to OP out? That's what I would be doing.

No, this is not normal. And it happened to me last night as well. I voted once for one guy and got a confirmation text 5 times. So I'm not sure how many times I *really* voted for him.

Tuesday night, I only got one confirmation text for each contestant I voted for even though I voted for one girl more than once.

I wonder how widespread this was. Wasn't there one time in a previous season where they had to redo a show due to voting problems???
