Soooooo.... now we KNOW who to BLAME!!!!!

I don't think Adam is in the closet. I just think AI doesn't want it mentioned from something I read from Adam's mom. Adam being gay is just as obvious as David Cook losing his hair, neither shoud matter and neither makes me like the singer/man any less.

"In the closet" being that he hasn't actually STATED he was gay, despite the obvious evidence.I don't see why AI doesn't want him to make that statement.....

You can't come out of a closet you were never in.
I guess I am saddened that in 2009 someone's sexual orientation is such a big freaking deal.
I am also disgusted, anew, at how the paparazzi stalk celebrties -- cornering him in a stairwell, refusing to let him pass until he does what they want, and verbally abusing him...
I've lived thru many decades and let me tell you, it was cooler to be gay in the 70s than it is now. Acceptance changes with the tide, up and down. It's not just sad, it's life.
I don't anyone was more obvious with this sexuality than Clay and look how long it took for him to come out? And what amazes me is how SHOCKED some of his fans were... what the....
I don't care, most of the people I know don't care but there are LOTS of people who do. Doesn't make it right but the AI handlers know how to skew this info to calm the crowd.
How was it "cooler to be gay in the 70s than now"?
I honestly don't care if someone's gay or not.
...I don't think Robin meant 'cooler', per se, but, I also lived thru the 70's (also in the NYC area, like Robin) and, 'back-in-the-day' , with the flourish of the 'Disco Era', being gay was more 'prevalent' (for lack of a better word) and 'open'...in fact, sexuality in general was not necessarily taboo (there were many 'clubs' in NYC that basically were 'orgy parlors', not to mention the free-flowing use of coke in discos like Studio 54)....views are more conservative now then back then....Robin, correct me if I'm way off base here...
You got it! I was in college during the crazy 70s and, believe me, there were people making BELIEVE they were gay just to be "cool". The gay discos were the ones everyone wanted to get into and people like Halston and Lisa Minelli made only Gay men and "hags" the in thing to be. David Bowie and Grace Jones appeared androgynous during that time because it was the "thing". Note the 70s look of David Bowie and 2009 of Adam Lambert:

As for the Orgy parlors, Plato's Retreat was the big one... I could tell you some STORIES!!I spent many a Saturday night at Studio 54 and it was just as outrageous as that place if you knew where to look (or NOT to look..
)
All this changed DRASTICALLY with the onset of a 4 letter word.... AIDS. The gay clubs dried up, the whole lifestyle became taboo and it STILL has a stigma.
What an interesting placement of a snake.....![]()
