Like I said to Irish, I think that the X Factor will allow that to happen. I think after that Idol will be going under.

Ugh, I can. I prefer Daughtry a million times over Nickelback. They're both pop-rock but I like Chris' voice and their lyrics far more than Nickelback. YUCK!!

No I just can't bring myself to do that. You know Darth, being from this area, my hubby is a musician and I actually know a couple of those guys. While I love Chris and can testify that he really does seem to be what he comes off as, I cannot say the same for all of the band. Personal connections gone bad and all.

X Factor allows a bigger age range (or none at all?) so we'll have to see.

I totally agree that the talent pool is drying up starting with last season. Season 7 was great but it really wasn't as good last year.

the only issue i have with X Factor is that apparently it's frowned upon to "change it up" with the music so i dunno how i'm gonna like that

That sucks. If the music wasn't allowed to be changed up we wouldn't have gotten a lot of the great songs from David Cook that we got. I still listen to them.

Irish I'm not sure about that. He is quite, shall we say, confident. But not in an overly obnoxious way. Now there is one other member of his band from Greensboro that I have known for over 10 years, and he can't even see conceited from where is his. Conceited is a dot to him, he passed it a long time ago.

Well I finally caught up and watched the guys from last night. It was a little better than last week, but I still don't see anyone standing out. If I had to pick 2 to go home it would be John and Jermaine.

I just started watching tonight's show right now. So far, I'm not liking Michelle.
