Worse group EVER!

My son was so disappointed in my opinion of the singers, he thought I wasn't being NICE.... well, if they were right in front of me it wouldn't have been nice but I was speaking my mind at home and they were HORRIBLE!

I wonder if the attitudes are encouraged? Remember how Simon kept giving props to Kimberly's "cuss out" and gave her another point for every line????

I voted for Corey and Josh. I thought Corey's voice reminded me of El Debarge and I like him. He wouldn't have made it on the other groups but compared to the rest of these guys, he was spectacular.

I think that he got the standing O because of how stupidly he acted back in Hollywood and how he "redeemed" himself. Or for remembering his words this time!

I saw an interview with Simon on Oprah a few days ago. He said that they "encourage" the contestants to "give it back to him." Some of them I think go to far.

The only person I thought was really good was Josh. I didn't get the whole Corey thing. And I liked the rock guy, but he had a hard song.

I also voted for Josh and Corey. I thought the girls on last night's show were simply awful, so I'm glad these two guys redeemed it. I hope Josh does well on the show--he seems like a really good guy.

I also am really hoping that Clay gets on the wildcard show. He is one of my very favorites, and I think his voice is positively incredible!

I agree with everything being said. Incredibly a lot of the comments from the judges were the same ... you were so good before, but you chose the wrong song for your voice and were awful tonight!!!

HELLO, when are the contestants going to wise up and pick a song they can sing!

Is Cory the one with the mop on his head? What a turn-off unless he wants the part of Little Orphan Annie.

He sang his song well and I'll be interested to hear what he sounds like with other types of songs. I really didn't think it deserved the standing ovation it got from the judges though.

Loved the Marine!!! A real class act.

The rest of the group were just awful and I hated their attitudes!!! Quite the turn-off.

Also agree that the family/friends has to go!!

Josh's (ahem) older sister, and I've gotta say, I got shivers up and down my spine when he sang. Maybe because of being a Marine/husband/dad, he just seemed so much more mature then all the rest...(sigh)...

I thought Josh was far and away the best. Cory was a very distant second (knd of the best of the worst). I thought the blond girl trying to sing Diana Ross was horrible, but she at least took the criticism with some grace. Juanita was just plain bad with a bad attitude to go with it.

Can you imagine ever speaking to your future boss like that? After all Simon is the one with the record label.

Maybe they are encouraging the talk back, but its a real turn off for me. Simon comments on the ones that have no personality, but I prefer the ones that behave professionally. I cant stand the ones with the bobble-heads and big mouths.

I actually voted for three: Josh, Cory and Patrick.

I do agree that this time around the girl's talents are severely lacking and we'll probably end up with a guy winning. But who knows, maybe one will develop like Kelly did on last year's show. I seem to remember Simon telling one girl on one of the earlier shows that he couldn't remember her trying out and compared it to Kelly. They couldn't remember Kelly trying out and then she just seemed to get better and better. Of course this girl didn't make it to the final 10. Maybe she will be in the wild card show. She did have a good voice. I think that it may have been Trenyce.

I don't care if they are encouraging the singers to talk back to the judges. I am so tired of it.

I like Patrick's voice. He did pick the wrong song though.

Cory has a good voice also, similar to Michael Jackson's. Though I wish he would get rid of the hair. Too much of a Justin want-a-be. I never cared for Justin last year either.

If I had seen the show, which I didn't, I would have voted for Patrick....sad to hear he didn't do well, I guess we will find out tonight.

Is the wild card show next week?
Who votes or decides who moves on from the wild card, the judges or do people call in to vote?

From what I understand about the wild card show is that there are 5 contestants, and the judges pick one, and America votes for the other. (that would make the "Kimberlies" remark Simon made make sense) I dont know who the 5th one is, since there were only 4 groups.

I totally agree about the bad attitudes. Would you seriously support somebody who acts like a brat? I also don't get why we have to see the families. It takes away some of the drama and excitement that was generated in the room last year.

As for last night, the Marine was the best. I thought that Chip was better than Corey. I was shocked that Paula and Randy gave Corey standing ovations! He was just O.K. for me.
