I'm not thrilled with DC's choices but I've said that before and he blew my mind!

I really wanted him to sing I Am I Said and Hello Again... man, he'd blow those two out of the ballpark.

oh well, we'll see. Everyone else besides Jason I just tolerate...

I don't mind Neil but I am not looking forward to them doing Neil...I think they have had a couple weeks that I wasn't crazy about in the end some of them suprized me so I am hopeful for tonight.

Not liking Neil Diamond week. Jason was terrible. David Cook did the best he could with the song, but what can you do with such horrible source material? :shrug: Brooke, was as bad, if not worse than Jason. Oh gosh. David Archuleta was okay. This is his kind of music (which isn't necessarily a good thing, overall). And Sayesha was rather adequate.

Is anyone else as bored as I am these past few weeks? I like Dolly, Mariah and yes even Neil Diamond separately, at least some one of their songs; but I really hate this full hour stuff. It's boring me to tears. Can't they pick something more exciting for a theme?

Jason was bad again. I think he's basically working hard to be sent home now. What the heck was that band intro before David Cook? Bad bad. Anyway David Cook: I think he basically took a bad song and made it okay. Brooke is doing okay... This might save her. Okay David Archuleta is sounding more and more like he's the one good singer at a high school talent show. But he's pulling a Kristy Lee Cook, with the patriotic angle. And Syesha was pretty good again.

Absolutely. Someone mentioned in a news article or blog today that the big problem with AI this year is that only four of the songs sung so far in the finals were less than 10 years old. I'd love to see them sing exclusively songs that are on the charts now.

I wouldn't want to hear that because I think the majority of stuff on the charts now is AWFUL. Pure crap.

Wasn't that weird? Either she truly thought he had done both songs and was too fried to know the difference or somebody wrote a script for her and again she was too fried to know what part to read when!

It is AI at its finest. Unfortunately, Jason was the victim of the whole hilarious ordeal. Between Randy telling national tv that he would sign Kristy Lee Cook before Jason and then basically trashing him since then, and now Paula saying he lacked charisma and ability to get to the top four in a song he had yet to sing and 2 minutes before he has to sing it, he just got totally screwed.

Hopefully, David A will get the boot tomorrow. Now, that would be hilarious and would serve them all right -- but it will never happen.

I totally agree, I have been whining on this thread for awhile about all the old music. About the best thing I have heard so far this year is Leona Lewis from last week. I downloaded the song she sang last week and just love it.
I am a david cook fan but I think he will be a hit whether he wins idol or not just like daughty.
