that redheaded kid is a nice guy, but he doesn't have half the ability the ladies do. so why do I think the teenage girls will want him to win?

Very strange results tonight, as much as I like Diana and Jasmine.

I don't think I would have voted for John Stevens even when I was a teenage girl. I think he's strange.

I thought the "bottom three" had turned in the best performances lately.

Well I said this on the cruise board and I'll say it here too. I was glad to see her go. Not that I think she was the worse performer because I don't. I didn't, however, care for how she always make faces and looked like she was pouting if things didn't go her way. I think she's got some growing up to do.

I haven't really enjoyed this season as much as I did last year with Clay and Reuben.

No no no...John should have been the one to go tonite! Ok what is the deal here?! I just couldn't believe that those girls were in the bottom 3. I am just glad to see that LaToya made it safe and Diana. I didn't want to see Jennifer go..not just yet. It's always nice to see those 3 Divas (Jennifer, LaToya and Fantasia)singing their souls out.

So...I honestly feel this is about popularity...come on now...John is still around?!! He should have been gone long ago! Does American actually think he can sing better than Jennifer...better than Amy...better than Matt...of course not. After Leah left, John should have been the next one to be booted out. Oh well..as long as Fantasia and LaToya and Diana are still running I am fine.

I too was very surprised at tonight's outcome! Personally though, I really don't like Fantasia & I would have been so happy to see Jennifer stay! I think Jennifer sings waaaay better than Fantasia. Too bad.

I cant believe that John and Diana are still in this and Amy and Jennifer are gone, people have to stop voting for him cause he is a nice guy, he looks so uncomfortable up there. Like he knows he shouldnt be there any more.

With some of these you have to figure in where they are from and what kind of local support they have. If they come from a large area with lots of local support, you factor in lots of people in their area voting more than once those votes can add up. I think another factor is that an older crowd might be starting to tune in and doesn't care much for some of the Diva's. I know my parents friends are in love with John Stevens just because they like the rat pack. You have to figure the older crowd might vote for the crooner.

You have a very good point.

My MIL is in her 70's and watches every week. She LOVES John Stevens. She LOVED CLay last year. She doesn't vote, but I am sure others her age or that share her taste in singers _do_ vote.

I don't have a problem with that. It is the multiple votes per household/cell phone that big me.

I was shocked about the bottom 3 tonight! I thought the bottom 3 were the BEST 3! I am so sad to see Jennifer go--she had really come into her own these past few weeks. I have to admit that I preferred Jennifer to LaToya, even though I think LaToya is much more popular. I thought that John or Diana should've been the ones to go. Bummer!
