What is everyones thoughts on Ellen as a judge...I havent read this whole thread so i was just curious...

My thoughts...I actually like her...I like Ellen in general...I find her amusing. As a judge I like her better than Kara. It wouldnt hurt my feelings to see Kara go.

I also dont think this show will make it without Simon...maybe but I doubt it

Ellen can stay but Kara needs to go. And Simon is the one who holds the show together; not afraid to speak his mind. No idea who they could get to replace him.

And "Songs Around the World"? I wonder what would qualify...Rolling Stones/Beatles (Great Britain)...oh wait...they already did that. Hey, maybe they could do some ABBA songs...

Maybe it's songs that have something to do with different locations? (Like I Left My heart in San Francisco" or "The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald"...)

Ooooooo, they could do something from "Sweeney Todd" or "Mary Poppins" (because they both take place in London) or someone could do something from "Aida" (written by an Italian, takes place in Egypt).

I couldn't muster up the strength to watch the show last night. I'm planning on buzzing thru the performances today. I know I'm starting to sound like a broken record but I hate what has happened to this show! ugh.


And dolphindan1, nice to "see" you again! I don't mind Ellen. I hate Kara. She just likes the sound of her own voice. Never thought I'd say it but boy do I miss Paula!

I had to record last nights show( DH homework,,,uggghhhhh) and have not seen it yet, except Crystal...saw a clip of Tim..looks like he had his hair trimmed a bit, closer to his head but still swooped over.

....ITA - I watch the pre-singing part and see her with her glasses and straight hair, and then she comes on stage with that NEST on her head and I wonder why she'd make her hair look like that ON PURPOSE...

I personally like her "quirkiness" and the way she dresses. I thought that she looked quite pretty last night.

I've never watched Finding Nemo. I think that Siobhan has a lovely voice and toning it down last night made me think of a Disney movie.
