well, to be fair, Ryan is the one who keeps bringing it up. but yeah, it's usually when she's performing they always bring up "omg she was sick, but she still sounded good!" it does get annoying.

What is everyones thoughts on Ellen as a judge...I havent read this whole thread so i was just curious...

My thoughts...I actually like her...I like Ellen in general...I find her amusing. As a judge I like her better than Kara. It wouldnt hurt my feelings to see Kara go.

I also dont think this show will make it without Simon...maybe but I doubt it

Ellen is comic relief but honestly, I can stomach 4 hers without Simon who could GIVE a crap this year, Kara with her useless critique and Randy who hasn't had an unpaid unsolicited sincere comment in years.

I like Ellen. She does add some comic relief to the show, which is good. I can't stand Kara, never understood how she got that job, although I can imagine

Not that it will matter after this season, but Idol needs to get rid of the 4-judge model. Its pointless. Oh how I long for the days of Paula Abdul. I do like Ellen but her comments are neither helpful nor hurtful. As for Siobhan, I don't like her stage looks, she looks like a contrived hot mess. I think her backstage look (glasses, straight hair) actually suits her the best.

I write everyone's name and the song they sing in a notebook each week, and give them a score of 1-10. Getting 7's from me last night were Andrew and Big Mike. I have never liked Andrew, love Mike's voice but didn't care for his performance last night.

Getting 8's from me were Aaron, Katie (I thought this was her best week), Tim (liked him better this week than ever before), Siobhan (wasn't crazy about the song) and Lee (love him but thought he had a shaky start on that song).

I gave Casey a 9, didn't care for the song but thought he sang it well.

And I gave Crystal a 10, I thought she did great even with a cold. And I loved the digeridoo, it was unique.

I think Andrew and Tim will be in the bottom 3 but not sure who will join them.

....ITA - I watch the pre-singing part and see her with her glasses and straight hair, and then she comes on stage with that NEST on her head and I wonder why she'd make her hair look like that ON PURPOSE...
