Just saw this piece of news:

Disqualified "American Idol" contestant Chris Golightly held a press conference Tuesday, Feb. 23 asking to be reinstated to the Top 24. He is urging people to ask "American Idol," 19 Entertainment and Fremantle Media for his reinstatement and tells Zap2it can could catch up in time to perform Wednesday night with the other Top 12 men.

Golightly says he's been singing his whole life and can catch up to the other Idols.

Ohhh, tough one....I think it is up cuz the Cabana boy just doesn't have anything upstairs so that will get old after a while then you have to train in a new one all over again at least with the Gay Husband they have brains and don't need you to watch EVERYTHING they do .

I think Chris Golightly was let go because the producers decided he wasn't appealing enough and that the other contestant was more photogenic, they were just looking for a reason to 'fire' him.

i mean, i think they could possibly tell him that he CAN try out again next season, instead of saying he would be disqualified, but there's no way he can make it into the top 24 right now.

Did anyone else know that Aaron Kelly won the AI Experience at WDW? I don't think it was mentioned during all of his backstory stuff. Maybe a trip to WDW doesn't fit in with the sobfest of being raised by his aunt? (No disrespect to him or his aunt at all. I just hate how AI tries so hard to play on emotions.) Anyway, I saw it mentioned on the theme parks board.

Yep, he always came across and kind and humble. On Oprah he was a doll! I love Adam!!

Even though I know EVERYONE did not agree with that????

the only reason i say that is because of what came out last week about a girl at his one show trying to get her mother-in-law who was disabled on the phone to listen, and he stopped the whole thing and told her to get off the phone because she was too loud

and then in a recent interview with a magazine he was kind of nasty about Susan Boyle beating his album sales....

to me, both of those things come across as rude.

as did the time on Idol when Ryan told him to "Choose sides" and he's all "based on lastnight?" you NEVER pick a side, Adam!! you should know this by now!! he was in the bottom anyway tho, so it was amusing to watch,

I'd have to agree that the sob stories are definitely outta control this year. It's gotten to "I robbed a bank with a BB gun, " and "My parents were gang members!"

i totally agree 100% and i'm GLAD that Katy Perry, when she was guest judging, mentioned that "everyone has a story" because she's right, EVERYONE has some sort of sob story. i don't care to hear it, THAT'S not going to make me vote, it's the voice and the personality that's going to get me to vote.

Tonight's episode is live. Chris lied about a prior contract, and since he technically made the Top 24, he will not be allowed to audition again. Idol wants people who have never been signed to a major label before. The same thing happened to Joanna Pacitti last year.
