American Idol Season 9 Thread

Did anyone watch Ellen last week? She had Angela Martin on as a guest. After she sang, she told her that Kara is going to write and produce a song for her. It sounds like they really are trying to give her a chance even though she didn't make it to the final 24.

heh....i tend to like singing more than screaming...so Lambert wasn't my cup of tea. plus he comes off as a bit rude...

We'll have to agree to disagree on all counts here.

Did anyone else know that Aaron Kelly won the AI Experience at WDW? I don't think it was mentioned during all of his backstory stuff. Maybe a trip to WDW doesn't fit in with the sobfest of being raised by his aunt? (No disrespect to him or his aunt at all. I just hate how AI tries so hard to play on emotions.) Anyway, I saw it mentioned on the theme parks board.

Yep, he always came across and kind and humble. On Oprah he was a doll! I love Adam!!

Even though I know EVERYONE did not agree with that???? :lmao::rotfl2:

I was wondering if anyone who made it to Hollywood came out of the AI Experience and if they would mention it.

He was our Gay Husband last year wasn't he? :lmao:

I never thought he came across as anything other than humble and caring. Even when he could have had a diva moment, he took the high road. And since he just proofs what a great person he is over and over. Even when he told the chic in the audience to stop talking on her cell phone it didn't come across as pulling a diva moment.

LOL!! He WAS my GH!!!

Sorry, DC, I still love you!

Gay Husband--I didn't know we were allowed Gay Husbands--how did I miss that????? That would be the next best thing to a wife-you know the one that takes care of doing all the dr appointment scheduling and running the carpool, etc. The one that has to worry about everything so you don't have to :thumbsup2

No he's the one who knows your needs, loves your shoes and understands why you have so many pillows on your bed... ;)

I know-this is why he would be almost as good as a wife. He could probably help me pick out fashionable clothes too :lmao:.

Well this confuses me even more-if she is this good-why didn't she make the cut???

I'd have to agree that the sob stories are definitely outta control this year. It's gotten to "I robbed a bank with a BB gun, " and "My parents were gang members!"

Finally finished watching both of last week's episodes. All I can say is I am so glad that one girl (Jennifer, Jessica, whatever the heck her name is...the one who kept begging) didn't make it through. UGH, she was annoying!!! "I can do this, I have it in me, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE!"

No kidding.... That was all she was saying over and over again.... I was seriously going to reconsider watching the show if they changed their minds and decided to kick one of the other top 24 out to let her in... I don't find begging very "Idol" like... If you have it, as she put it, the judges would know... In no way should she stop trying for her dreams, but she isn't ready yet... There is always next year... Not to mention there are other ways to get into the music industry, try to old fashioned way... American Idol wasn't always around...

I'm not sure. Maybe Ellen and Kara wanted her in but Randy and Simon didn't?

I remember Simon saying "that was the wrong decision" when they let Shelby go so maybe they have a majority vote to make it. :confused3

:thumbsup2 Being rude is a total turnoff for me. Whether it's a musician, an actor, a doctor, or a waiter and I've never picked up on that from him. Ever.

It's just a play on her name, Bowersox. They've been playing up the momma rocker background so much, that's why randy calls her Mommasox.

"....she's a bad mama-jama[sox],
Jes' as fine as she could be..."
