I was here and watching just couldn't post...my internet was being crappy and I ended up having to turn off all computers and reboot the router. NOw it's fine and of course Idol is over.

Some interesting singers tonight...some again. OMG that girl in pink!!!!

The girl that sang Barney and had the whip??? Not sure on her...seems a bit to over the top for me right now.

I agree because when it finally comes to Hollywood week I feel like I'm watching total strangers because very very few have gotten any air time.

I get tired of the "stories" especially when they don't make it either.

I don't see the point to them, unless they make a deal to show the story if they let them show the bad singing.

I remember his audition, but I don't think they showed him during hollywood week.

One that sticks in my mind is Jason Castro. I think due to song clearance he was never shown until the top 24 and he made it all the way to 4th!

Avril was awful. I have zero respect for her. I thought Katy was pretty good thouh. I thought last nights show was overall awful though. Not good Idol at all. Not sure what is up this season....

I thought Avril was bad too...not only that but I didn't even think she was making music anymore...is she still popular??? I never thought she had any talent.

I liked Katy, I liked that she looked like she was paying attention and didn't look bored with it all.

I'm liking Neil Patrick Harris as a guest judge.

I liked him too. All I kept thinking was "go Doogie" which is a line from the Roseanne show when she had her surgery and was dreaming that he was her doctor.

I wish she had gone in there dressed normally. It just made it seem WAY too gimmicky and kind of got on my nerves. I thought that she had a nice voice but it wasn't "Wow!" to me.

Nothing. One girl who tried out was on the show when she was a kid. They showed clips of her on the show then made her sing "that song."

I liked NPH as a judge a lot. Joe Jonas was a complete non-entity. They barely even showed him!

I am so happy the auditions are almost over. They are really frustrating this year.

I despise the never-ending audition shows. I am much more interested in hearing the good singers and even those who are almost, but not quite, good enough to make it.

Actually, I wouldn't mind the gimmicky and bad singers so much if they didn't dominate the show. In fact last year I loved Norman Gentile.

I wouldn't watch the audtion shows at all except DH enjoys the bad singers. He is obsessed with those two sisters from New Jersey. He thinks it's funny that they are so "into themselves." I think he likes them for other reasons.

I am also finding that I don't miss Paula at all!

Yeah, we dumped the audition shows after watching AI for just a couple of seasons. We're now ff-ing through them while eating dinner, watching an hour in about 15-20 minutes. We actually will probably do the same with the whole series, this season, just due to lack of time, but the auditions were gone years ago.

I'm still shocked Paula left. What was she thinking? AI made her a household name again. I don't think there is anything she can do that will give her the fame that this show did.

Yes we watch in the morning sometimes while the kids are eating breakfast , the show if you cut out a lot of the promo stuff you have 20 minutes.

My dd loves Joe Jonas but like someone said we really didn't hear from him much other then him saying ya ....I laughed everytime because all the other judges say yes and he would say ya again and again except the last girl he said yes....
