Thanks for the link. Listening to the tracks, here's a few thoughts:

- Melissa McGhee left too early (and I wasn't a fan of hers when she was actuallly on the show).
- Kellie Pickler left too late.
- Elliott sounded better live, in my opinion.
- Paris Bennett sounds great.
- Taylor sounds great on a cd (having downloaded of few of his other songs, though, I knew that already)
- Katharine definitely has a marketable voice.
- Why the heck is Chicken Little ending the cd? His track made me laugh.

I liked Melissa as well, she had that husky voice. I liked the one girl who was a twin too - that one song she picked didn't do her justice I thought. Yes, I think Kelli overstayed but she was popular. I know the show has to do it quick - meaning dump someone each week, but sometimes I would love to see a bit more performances.

Wonder what ole Bobby is up to? Think he ran to Vegas to try and find Barry?

Good for you! It takes a big person to do that and I admire you for it.

We all get defensive, it's human. What angers me is the one who is offensive usually never gets in trouble but the one who is DEfensive gets punished. Man, life is so unfair!

I agree. Just let me add that the ignore feature is the most freeing thing ever! You don't get annoyed by the instigators if you never read what they have to say.

Now, on to AI talk. I am so looking forward to tonight. I think Taylor will win, but you never know. I loved his Levon performance, but I'm a bit concerned about his Stevie Wonder choice for tonight. And, I think the crappy AI song will favor Kat's style more than his so that will put him at somewhat of a disadvantage. Who writes those things anyway?

I'm so mad! I have to work tonight and tomorrow until 9:30 which means I won't get home until 10:00. All I can say is my kids better tape the shows for me and if anyone spoils tomorrows ending I will be a bit ticked! It's been a bad week schedule wise for me. I missed the Sabres game last night (ok, they lost so I didn't miss too much) I'm missing Idol two nights and I'll miss another Sabres game on Wednesday too. Sometimes I hate my job.

I really don't care who wins out of the final two. I like them both. My girls are voting for Katharine, they just don't like Taylor. Does anone know any kids under 18 that like him? It seems that all the kids I work with don't like him either. I was laughing last night because the one girl (17 years old) called him an old man. She said "god, I hope that old man doesn't win, what is wrong with him? He's so spastic" I had to inform her that he is not old, I could be his mother! And he is not spastic, he is dancing.

My 16 y/o DS does!!! Of course, he's been heavily influenced by mom and dad. Taylor has been DH's favorite from the beginning, although both he and DS16 and DS12 were crazy for Kellie Pickler. Since Kellie was eliminated DS12 no longer watches with us. DS16 liked Chris a lot too but now he's firmly in Taylor's camp. He says that Katharine is "frontin'". (His word not mine. Although I agree with the sentiment.) That's his opinion; I don't need to start another "Kat" fight.

My boys are Taylor fans too. Perhaps I influenced that a little, but I remember when Taylor made his very first appearance. DS, who is 13, was on the computer, wearing earphones and mumbling "American Idol is so stupid." I kid you not...Taylor opened his mouth, DS stops what he's doing (so rare), turns around and says "now that guy is cool." This from a Metallica fan, I don't get it. He also spent his Saturday practicing his new Flash animation skills working on a Taylor vs. Kat cartoon. While it was just a little too violent (he's a 13 year old boy), I had to chuckle just a little.

Other DS has moved from Team Chris to Team Taylor, but it took him at least a week to come out of mourning.

DH, on the other hand, he's not allowed to have the phone on Tuesdays.

Both DD5 & DS7 like Taylor. They will sit on the couch under their blanket listening to everyone else but when Taylor sings they have to get up & dance.

Just listened to the CD. Melissa sounds great! I also enjoyed Lisa & Paris. Loved Taylor & Katharine!!! I didn't like the others singing on the show & I don't like their songs on the CD.
