After watching the last few idols, I got to ask, does anyone else think Paula is on drugs?

After watching the last few idols, I got to ask, does anyone else think Paula is on drugs?

I don't just think so...

I remember mentioning to my sister how you'd think she'd cool out after all the press about her demeanor and she said something I'll always remember.. "Robin, she's an addict. She can't just stop." After years in the same position and living with an addicted husband for 20 years the look on her face made me realize she was speaking from experience.

The producers need to do something about this, she will never do it voluntarily. Simon and Randy seem to think it's funny. I don't. She needs intervention and now.

She seems a lot more normal in the beginning rounds but as the season goes on, she gets worse. This past week, for me anyway,her behavior went way beyond funny to pity.

I don't think Paula is on drugs...I think she is an attention seeker that is quite possibly the worst actress ever! I feel she is motivated to stay in the limelight and will do anything to keep the camera on her. When she started "sobbing" after Elliot's performance -- I had to look away!

It's been reported that she takes painkillers due to back injuries so I can see becoiming addicted to them just like so many others have. As time goes on you need to take more and more to get through the day. IF the stories about her latest injury are true she is probably taking more than normal making her seem less normal. (if that is possible) I really dislike how they let her ramble on and on, start playing the music on her and let's move on to Simon.

i remember watching a biography of her once on vh1 or something, and she's had a really messed up life--bottom line, paula has some serious issues, but is she going to do anything about it?!

Is anyone going to see the tour? They aren't coming to Indy, so a few friends and I are either going to Chicago, Louisville, or Columbus. Can't wait!

Her mannerisms are very much like an addict's, not like a spoiled child. I fear one day she'll see the tapes and realize how how far gone she was. She's a train wreck waiting to happen and it's sad that nothing is being done to keep her in check.

That is true, I kinda typed fast since I had to leave for work and left out some stuff. Basically it should have said what you said. They claim she takes them for back pain and if she isn't really in pain but still taking them she could be taking more and more to make her feel good (or loopy). IF she actually had a minor injury she might think she needs even more, hence now she is really extra loopy.

The closest they are coming to me is Rochester, NY don't know if I'll go or not, probably not.

Well, probably thanks to Elliott being in the final 10 they are actually coming to the Richmond Coliseum! And I thought the only thing that comes there is the circus and the occasional country music concert! Lauri and I will be going - anyone else from VA planning on attending the Richmond concert?

I don't have anyone to go with me. No one else likes AI the way I do. This is the only year, I'd want to go so far. I could probably guilt my mom into going with me but not sure it's worth the trouble. We'll see.

There is an article in today's Richmond Times Dispatch that one of the local telephone companies is bringing 10 phones into a local restaurant and rigging them to autodial Elliott's number over and over again for the 2 hours of voting time.

I know things like this have gone on for other contestants too, but it just doesn't sit right with me. Not sure how much of a dent things like this can make in someone's vote total. Still doesn't seem right to me. It shouldn't end up being a contest of who's home city has more companies that are generous with their resources.
