I'm curious what you saw that showed this? I saw it more in the attitude Jess had through the season anytime she was criticized. I've never noticed it in Caleb. He just strikes me as someone loving the ride.

His comments off the show in interviews is where I see it. I voted for him in the beginning of the season..last 2 weeks nope. And I loved his 3rd song, but he has just turned me off. Kind of like me and Tom Cruise..can't see any of his movies because what he has said off screen just irks me.

Jess's attitude to me was more of a defeated attitude..like people have been putting her down so much that she is going to have a hard shell so she didn't get hurt.

If anyone but Jessica was leaving Ryan would be screaming how SHOCKING the elimination was going to be from minute 1.

He didn't so it was at least only a 28 minute wait...


No shock at all. They could've spared us Jessica's remarks about the "person going home is a LOSER" tidbits... like we didn't know who that would be.

Boring show. The judges read their Nigel Notes all Weds so I knew the outcome. At this point I really don't care who wins.

• Judges Choice – The judges choose songs for each of the contestants
• Randy’s Choice – The finalists’ “Mentor” will hand out assignments
• Hometown Choice – A Fox source tells TV Line, “each contestant’s hometown has also picked one encore from all the songs the Idol has performed this season.”

This makes me giggle. Guess Caleb will not be thrilled with the choices of others.

I hope the fans from his hometown pick one of the songs from the week that he hated others picking his songs.


But really, for the sake of a good show and maybe an exciting final 3 I hope everyone has good songs picked for them and that they all knock our socks off.

From press jessica did, there was a last minute song change this week....they were told on Monday that they wouldn't be able to do originals and from the short list they were given, she choose Pink 'So What'

Well that's where the blanks were for me. I've never watched any interviews with any of the contestants, so had no idea what they were like outside of the show. I can see it in the clip dano linked to.

I still think Jess seemed more than defeated when she was criticized. She just seemed really ticked whereas it always seemed that the others at least on the surface accepted criticism. There is just something about her eyes that I can't connect with.

Tom Cruise? Never liked him - never will...

He definitely has a major creep factor going but it really seems to have become more obvious as the years have gone by. Or as he's become richer and more powerful he only surrounds himself with like minded cult (oops, church) members and no one is keeping him in check anymore. Now I avoid his movies too.

Caleb, in my opinion, is getting too big for his britches. LOL.

He sure thinks he doesn't need the fans to suggest songs for him. Let's see how many fans he's offended by his idiotic remarks come voting time and hometown visit!

I like Slezak and Melinda Doolittle.


I wish Slezak would have asked why he thought the ratings were so low. I also don't think they understood that people weren't just disappointed in Rush Week because we thought it was cruel but because we thought they cut people they shouldn't have.

How is that going to work? We'll have to wait a whole week to see who got voted off? Then they get voted off a the beginning of the show after practicing and rehearsing all week....I don't like that concept at all.

I don't even think THEY know now. They have to come up with an idea to stop the bleeding so I guess someone came up with this idiocy.

I would LOVE 2 half hour shows a week, that would be great!
