American Idol Season 13 Official Thread

I still don't see how Harry can say this is the best group of any season. I don't see it. At this point, I don't see a STAR and Idol has brought us quite a few of those over the years.

Sam is still one of my favorites so it is no surprise that I liked this. His tone is just so good. He should not be in bottom this week, there were several that were much worse.

I don't see this as the best group, what I see it's pretty middle of the road other than Caleb. This kind of reminds me of the season with Fantasia...no one wowed me that year at all. At least this season I can tolerate them for the most part.

I'm not wowed by anyone this season in Idol. All the ones I liked were eliminated before top 13 or have been eliminated.

I like a lot that were sent packing too.

This really is a bad group- the only one I really like is Caleb. MK, CJ, the black girl with the braces (I am horrible with names), Majesty all did nothing for me tonight-they can send them ALL home. The girl with the purple hair I liked, Alex was just ok, Sam-ehhhh, and undecided about Dexter last night-I had never heard that song before so that made it weird for me.

So disappointed. I took the show off of my DVR, if that ain't a sign, nothing is!

Maybe I'm in the minority, but I just absolutely ADORE Alex!! I'm watching with the hopes that he's the winner!

Love his voice, love his mannerisms (his feet are hysterical when he sings!), his quirkiness, his artistry, even his crazy rolled-up pant legs, lol.

He is consistent and ALWAYS true to himself no matter what song he sings. He's never tried to sound like anyone else or move like anyone else - he just gets up on stage and 100% pure Alex comes through.

Also like Caleb and Majesty. Don't get the Sam love AT ALL.

Maybe I am just easy to please with my music and what I like but I am just not hating this season. I am not WOWed by it and I don't think they are the best...but I don't think they are all horrible.

For the most part I've enjoyed each show. I do think the judges sent a lot of people home early that they should not have and the way they weeded it down to this group was bad...we should have been able to vote on all of them...and had 2 or 3 go home every week till it got to the top 12 or 13. So, it would have added a few days to the show..that is no biggie (at least not in my world).

Alex is my favorite, too! His quirky-style makes him seem like a real artist. And I do love his voice. I like this season better than last season. I quit watching early on last season, but will stay through to the end this year. Although, I do prefer to watch from my DVR, so I can skip all the judges remarks and "fluff" pieces, and just watch them sing.

I don't think you're in the minority at all, it's hard to dislike Alex. There's no denying he's an artist and he is unique!

I'm just not LUSTING after anyone this year. I wish I was. I look forward to wanting the show to be on and hearing my favorite sing. Not this year. Everyone is good one week, okay the next, bad another. I don't understand how they got the best judges for once but didn't match up the contestants?

AND I'm HATING the guests this year. Who ARE these people? Has AI relegated itself to a talent show? I guess I'm outgrowing this show or something... but I LOVE the Voice... sorry, there I go again!!

They really, really missed the mark in casting this year. It's tough to believe that this lot is the best they could muster up.

I really like Alex. I see the talent in Caleb and Sam and Dexter sometimes but honestly, that's about it.
