Hmmmmmmmmm..do we have 3 guys in the wildcard? I can't see them picking any of the girls sitting down over a few of the guys that didn't get through

What? Jermaine did not deserve to be there. I'm not a fan of his voice at all. Being a big, sweet guy is not what makes an American Idol.

I was thinking the same thing.

They may throw in a pity girl pick. But the guys are definitely much better this year. I predict Eben and Reed plus one random girl will be the picks.

aw. poor Eben. i didn't think he deserved to go through. but i said back before the top 24 that i thought he needed more time. i wish they wouldn't have brought him to the top 24 if it meant he can't come back. i think he'll be great in a few years. i felt so sorry for him.

did you see how quickly Deandre pulled that hair back. that was... odd.

I can't believe that America voted for Jermaine. He may have a good voice but it just isn't relevant to what I hear on the radio.


But on the other hand, Yea!!! My two favorites made it: Philip and Elise.

the constant flinging drives me insane! but i think the judges will put him through if America doesn't. i don't think he deserves to go through, but i think they love him too much.

I guess it depends on what you grew up with. I lived off of the major bass/baritone voices in my childhood, Jerry Butler, Isaac Hayes, Barry White, Melvin Franklin of the Temptations. His voice comforts me.

I also grew up with the major Falsetto singers, there was one in every R&B group. It's a standard in R&B, but R&B is so DEAD on American Idol.

Hey Robin, speaking of R&B, have you listened to Mayer Hawthorne's song The Walk? I mentioned him on this thread yesterday. He sounds so old school it is hard to believe that someone is writing music like this today. I love, love, love this song.
