The whole thing with Jessica seemed so pre planned to me. Guess others are saying that too.

The finale is in 6 weeks, I ASSUME only one, right, Mandy?

Welcome, gwynne, again!!

Robin,
6 Weeks till the finale, time is flying! Glad it's only one. Thanks!

Dancind, Sound like pre-planned is right!

Okay if I'm reading the press release right...it may be just one.

Thanks Mandy! One will be easier, less craziness this week, maybe?

::yes::

TMZ posted it before the show aired. :rolleyes1

Well, that's just bizarre. :rolleyes1 Will be interesting to see what happens this week.

well that sucks big time.

only one going home this thursday??

just 2 weeks back one of the judges said that when they use the save on a contestant, the next week they have to eliminate 2 ...........

Hrumpff........i'm about to take my toys home

I think, the press release sounds like only one

This whole thing smacks of a set up. Think about it, they knocked out two people a few weeks ago and we haven't yet had a week where no one was eliminated... until the BIG SAVE (that should be followed by angelic music). They got to have the "drama" of saving their favorite contestant while making up for the double elimination earlier in the show. But instead of having audience backlash over a good contestant getting voted off (like there would have been if it had been Colton, Joshua, or pretty much any more likable contestant) and then relief over their save, the judges just got the viewers to dislike this little girl even more.

IMO the show has run it's course. The first seasons maybe there were some diamonds in the rough. Choir voices, that sort of thing. But now I think the contestants are known by many in the biz. Many may have been chosen before the tryouts. Jessica didn't just show up out of no where with that voice. No way. The elimination show may be better at one half an hour.

I wonder if Jessica did not really get voted off. She may have one of the best voices ever on the show if not one of the best out there, makes no sense that she was voted off. A buddy of mine was a contestant on survivor and I can tell you through him that what you see isn't always the way it was. The counsels are very staged and can take hours to film.

I do think she got the lowest votes because while she has a good voice I don't think she is all that likeable and while this is supposedly about singing it really isn't about singing in the end.

I do think the show is very planned. We all know that the notes are made up ahead of time...so if they stunk it up during rehearsal but did a great job live the notes will still refer back to the stinky stuff. We all know we are being played (or so they think) by the judges. I am hoping that the majority of the people that watch don't buy into the whole game playing junk the judges throw out.

We all know about the pimp spot and the staging and how that helps sway the votes too.

That said, I still like the show and will watch as long as they keep showing it. I must be a glutton for punishment :happytv:

Popping in real quick that hopefully I'll be around at least later tonight, I don't know. Stupid professor. :headache:

...when I was in college [the FIRST time], we had a professor, who had dubious credentials....long story short, he had threatened a student in one of his other classes, was physically escorted from the campus, and we had to attend further classes at another location off-campus....

Yikes! I'm just glad this is home stretch. Class today and one tomorrow then two next week and a final and I'm DONE!
