I do think Jessica did great, but she didn't make me cry like Jennifer Hudson did when she sang that song during the Grammy's. Now THAT made me cry.
I'm here tonight. I was too wiped out last night: no afternoon nap after the early shift at work and the nyquil kicked in. Seems like I either have a cold or allergies or BOTH! BLECH!![]()
True, what do they give us to cheer for? The men they choose are usually more girly than we are!
I get it, I don't fool myself. The show knows their marketing skew, I'm kinda USED to being the only one in the group, uh, like HERE????
I HATE that term "race card". It's not a card it's a fact. Of course it's not worth discussing to some people but it matters to me.
The PP was mentioning the variety and the demographics, even naming the different HAIR colors. That's why I added that.
Their fb page almost exploded over this subject. Sure it SHOULDN'T,in my lala world it would never be a subject matter, but it makes you go hmmmm when they managed to make it balanced toward their true demographics, and they do so every year.
hmmmmm.....![]()
what is with the band overpowering
Their main demographic is those who listen to either pop or country. Neither of which have I heard many African-Americans perform in. They seem to aim more for the hip-hop or R&B genres. Michael Jackson was one of the few who sang pop (I'm sure there's others....).
I don't think that song was as well as you thought it was Shannon. She'll be in the bottom and possibly gone.
I think Shannon's gone too.
Performers tonight are Lauren Alaina and Mary J. Blige.
Tommy Hilfiger appears next week as image advisor to the finalists
I think Shannon's gone too.
Really? You're KIDDING?
I guess we forgot about Melissa, Mandisa, Fantasia, Jordin and Latoya. Two even WON?
AI deals with just about all genres EXCEPT hip hop and opera (thank you God) but they know what makes the money. I KNOW the deal, unfortunately it's my business to know.
