The PP was mentioning the variety and the demographics, even naming the different HAIR colors. That's why I added that.

Their fb page almost exploded over this subject. Sure it SHOULDN'T,in my lala world it would never be a subject matter, but it makes you go hmmmm when they managed to make it balanced toward their true demographics, and they do so every year.

Sources tell TMZ, Phillip -- the guy who always performs with a guitar on the show -- was complaining of intense pain in his abdomen ... and it seemed serious enough to sound the alarm.

didn't he mention he had gallstone or kidney stone issues during Hollywood week? When everyone else was barfing , he went to his room but said it wasn't the flu. Happy he will be back.

well, in a perfect world...it bugs me tho, as I mentioned before, that they stick to keeping the gender even. That really chaps my hide because some really good talent gets sent home based on it. I asked before, don't they start ignoring that and go with the 3 lowest once they hit top 10? I can't remember...

I think they do target specific audiences and I would think they researched the heck out of it and found that the group you are talking about just isn't that in to Idol. Of course maybe they would be if their was something there they could relate to.

They claim they will have the bottom boy and girl based on audience votes...then the judges pick from those 2.

True, what do they give us to cheer for? The men they choose are usually more girly than we are!

I get it, I don't fool myself. The show knows their marketing skew, I'm kinda USED to being the only one in the group, uh, like HERE????

I HATE that term "race card". It's not a card it's a fact. Of course it's not worth discussing to some people but it matters to me.
