Over all, I think this cast has been hands down, the best ever for AI and I think all the credit goes to the new judges. The talent is so much better without Simon, Paula and Kara there.

Out of the three left, I think Lauren will have the best career in the business and then Scotty, then Haley. Pia will be even bigger. And Casey will do well. But it all comes down to the studio they sign with and their money grabbing agent.

I am enjoying this year..... a lot ! Lets hope the next two weeks are as entertaining.

I honestly tend to like the ones who don't win better then the winners. You do need a good manager in the industry but you also have to have the wits too. The industry is cruel no matter where you are in the industry. Lauren might do just fine out in the industry, we don't know. She gets the right people she'll be fine. Scotty may be hit or miss, it just depends on how welcoming Nashville be to both of them. Haley I can't really comment on because I'm not a fan of her voice and that style of singing.

Might I point out that this year's thread (and last year and the year with Adam) is MUCH less about who we "adore" and much more about the system and who we "don't care much for"?

I missed the days of adoration. Even when there was a disagreement everyone looked forward to their person every week.

Last year -- Not much love for Lee or Chrystal, LIKE but not much love.

The year before there was LOTS of Adam HATE, very little "what's his name" love, but he won anyway.

I truly hope that on Wednesday night the judges are as bland and vanilla as ever. I hope Steven says "It's a beautiful thing" to each one of them. I hope Randy says "So-and-So is in it to win it!" to each one. And I hope J-Lo says, "That's it, babeee! I'm so proud of you!" to all 3. That way, no fan group or sympathizer will have any reason to avenge mistreatment by the judges and rally around the whipping boy or girl.

I'd hate to see any one of them have an off night this close to the finale. Each one is really talented in their own right and deserves to be where they are. I can't imagine the hard work and pressure they have endured these past months, and at their young ages, it is amazing how they have handled it!

Hi all ! I just found this thread so I hope you don't mind that I jump in here.

I've got a little experience (drummer) behind me. I've performed all kinds of music.... from 60's rock, jazz, country, metal and almost everything in between. I've played in small clubs, parks, concert venues and done some recording. And No.... I'm not famous or played with any groups 90% of you have ever heard of, but I have experience.

Here's my thoughts.

As I told my DW..... AI will never be a talent contest. It is a popularity contest, nothing more or less.

If it was a talent contest then Adam Lambert would have won hands down.

If it was a talent contest, Pia and James would be competing for the final this year.

And as far as Haley is concerned..... she can sing but her attitude towards the judges while they are speaking to her is horrible. I'm not sure why she is still there but I congratulate her for making it this far.

SSB has liked this year better than last, for sure ... and do think a good diverse group of talent. I have to agree on the Haley whining!

Kara put in her book that the producers pick the contestants so don't give any credit to the Braindead Three. They're there to collect a paycheck and promote their stuff.

I was never as disappointed with the talent has I was this year. I think this year's group is bland, boring and middle of the road at best. Funny how we all see it differently. Like we always say, to each his own.

ok...thanks for the heads up...basically the article says what many have mentioned here about the whole manipulation thing of the show, even pointing out the Randy/Haley moment as reverse psycholgy to get her much needed votes as she was hurting for them, so they could have 2 remaining girls in the top 3 finalists.
