I don't think the judges are gonig to forget all that easily about the chioce those guys amde to cut Jaycee...Steven Tyler especially is one who likes people to be happy, in a good place. I would be watching my back for sure if I was anyone from that group, especially with individual songs tonight..no one else to try and pass the blame onto.

I hope that wouldn't be used against any of those in that group. Its a signing competition, and they can sing.

while it may be a "singing" competition - these are auditions....I hope karma kicks their butts!

they are also to represent the "whole package"...and lets face it, it was a jerky move. Jaycee, at 15, showed more maturity than the other 4 combined. Showing you have what it takes to be the Idol includes maturity as well as being able to sing.

Yes it is a singing competition, but to me, it's not all about how good they can sing. Personality is important to. And I just don't like people who treat others like dirt. So even if he (guy with the glasses) happened to be the best singer in the competition, I wouldn't care. I wouldn't vote for him. He needs a good kick in the butt.

yep..lets not forget when it comes for time of voting by the public, who's going to be remembered for what...you need look no further than the contestants reaction to the Jersye attitude chick..no group wanted her after she showed her true colors.

I definitely agree with that. I have a good 10 years on Jaycee and he handled it more maturely than I probably would have. I probably would have given that kid a piece of my mind if he decided to kick me out, and then said if he had a problem with me, why doesn't he just leave and find another group? But Jaycee took the high road, just said ok, and moved on to find a group that would accept him. He definitely took that rejection like a champ.

Coming in on this thread late, hope that's okay;)

I think what happened to Jaycee really stunk and I do believe it will come back to haunt those guys. I think most people have been picked on or made to feel not welcome and can certainly relate to Jaycee. At least the one guy seemed genuinely sorry. I guess time will tell. We still haven't gotten to the final 24 yet. Is that how many they get to before we can start voting???

i'm the same way. i wouldn't vote for him either.

I have to ask if my ears are bad or did anyone else think the group of 15 yos ( with the stage moms in the wings), they sang a Queen song I think, anyway,
I thought they sounded terrible, and they all went thru.

I was shaking my head.
I had just got done saying to my dh " Freddy would not like hearing that"

and 2 min later Steven Tyler says " you guys did Freddy proud":confused3

LOL, admittedly, I am not a singer hehe, but it sounded bad to me.
anyone else?

actually, I think they sounded really good, and thought they did a great job NOT rocking out the song, doing their own take ( or their mom's ;) on it was cool

Missed last nights episode since Suvivor is on now. But I saw the clip that showed Jaycee walking around after he got kicked out and I felt so bad for him! :( he handled it so well, what a good kid he is. I really like Brett, too.

Yes, true but what we saw was engineered by the producers so that we would have sympathy for Jaycee and dislike the others in that group. If I vote, I do it because I feel xxx is the better singer not because of what AI wants me to feel for certain people with their editing. Some things you can't hide, like Jersey girl's attitude, she did herself in, in her interviews and when she walked out on stage in front of everyone and said what she said. If we didn't see that, we'd feel sympathy for her because she couldnt get into a group, we see what AI wants us to see, but thats just the "reality" of reality TV. I'm not holding anything against anyone just yet, its really too early for me to form an opinion on any of them other than their singing ability (as far as voting goes). YMMV :)

That group of kids (theMinors) did that Queen song like a church gospel song. It wasn't bad...it just wasn't interesting to me. I can hear that ANY Sunday at ANY church I step foot in.

I thought they were the best group of the night by far.
I really like the kid who went second. But what do I know, I really thought Andrew Garcia's "Sugar" was the best song all last year.

I liked them and the first group and very few others.

Erin Kelly works at the Wing House in bradenton - they just said on our local station...will have to look out for her.

Really! LOL
I must need to clean my ears out, LOL
I thought some of the others were much better.
the girls that Randy said harmonized the best, I thought they were better.
but hey, I guess everyone has their favorites, and what they like.

I missed AI last night, totally forgot. Is there a way to watch it after the fact? I don't think it's available on demand.
