REUBEN. When they did the country music theme, could only imagine him falling flat. But when he did "Sweet Home Alabama," he blew me away. He's great at choosing songs.

Clay is second for me, but he's going to start PERFORMING.

While I was in Orlando I read the USA Today updates on AI. They said their website poll reflected that Reuben got 40% of Tuesday's votes and Clay got 28%. That's 68% leaving the other 6 to share 32% of the votes! WOW! I wonder how they feel about that?

I voted for Ruben to win AI. I love Clay but don't think he's exactly the "pop star" type -- I think he could have a wonderful Broadway career, his voice and style are *perfect* for that!!

Ok, y'all will kill me for saying this I'm sure, but does Clay's voice remind anyone else of Tom Jones? (All right, this is for the old timers....) After I figured out who he reminded me of, I saw the Coors Light commercial with TJ singing "she's a lady".

I voted for Ruben. He is doing great and gets better every week. Clay has a wonderful voice but I feel he should be in Broadway or singing in Vegas. I like Josh because of his energy, his talent and being a Marine.

The girls are fine but I like the boys better.

Unique comes to mind--he gives me goosebumps when he sings. He just appears to be a very mild-mannered gentleman--sensitive, perhaps.

Ruben sounds nice, but he sounds like a load of other singers--nothing unique. . .at least to my ear which certainly isn't professionally trained. I like him--he sings well--just not unique.

I'm not buying into the need for an AI to be "pop" oriented. If so, I wouldn't be choosing either Clay or Ruben since neither have a "pop" attraction. I can't see Ruben doing some of those pelvic thrust moves of most "pop" idols these days! LOL For that matter I think Clay is too "reserved" or self-conscious for that kind of thing. Guess we'll see what happens!

Ruben, definitely! I think Clay has a fabulous voice (probably better than Ruben's), but he's much more suited to Broadway singing than pop singing. The only CD I'd buy of his would be a soundtrack! I'd buy a Ruben CD in a second, though!

I agree totally. I think Clay has a wonderful, pure voice but he should be on the Broadway stage. He doesn't have any versatility, either. With all of the different "themes" they have had, he has somehow managed to make all of the songs sound the same. I think all of the remaining contestants will get recording contracts, even Carmen who a lot of people hate. She has a good voice for country songs, and a good stage presence as well. BTW, her vibrato doesn't bother me at all. My predictions (in order):

i voted for clay, he was my pick from the beginning , but i do hope he excites it up a bit. my other choice would be ruben, but something about him bothers me...maybe its the 205 crap....

I'm torn between Rueben and Clay, but I went with Rueben because I feel he probably fits the AI image better than Clay does. I'd be happy with either one of them winning.
