American Idol Experience

I'm so sad. I just heard the American Idol Experience in DHS is closing next January. I haven't heard anything about what will be replacing it. That was one of our favorite, most relaxing attractions at DHS -- a great way to get out of the heat, take a load of my feet, laugh, and enjoy the experience. It was great while it lasted.

I only went once. That was enough for me.

But I did hear the rumor that they will turn that into a Star Wars area.

I can't decide if in sad or happy. We had a person try out and be on every trip. Which is fun but takes a huge amount of time and traps you in DHS. Especially if you make it to the finale show. So it will be missed by us. But I'm secretly happy.

After years and years of visits I have to admit that I have never "experienced" this attraction. We've walked past it many a time but never ventured inside.

I am sorry for anyone that is losing a favorite attraction, though. I also regret that I never experienced it before it closed(we won't be back until June of next year).
