American Idol: Danny Gokey

Anyone still a fan of Danny's? I see his album comes out Tuesday. I just went to his web site and listened to "My Best Days" and really, really liked it. I think I will be buying his CD, anyone else?

I loved everything he sang on American Idol, so I'm going to buy it without hearing the other songs. I did go to Amazon to listen to each song, but couldn't. So I went to his web site and clicked on "listen" but it would only play the one song, not any of the others.

I always thought he should have won instead of Kris Allen.

To rephrase -- I honestly believe Adam Lambert should have won, but if it wasn't Adam, then it should have been Danny.

(I also believe that towards the end, the producers pick who's going to win. Which doesn't really explain Taylor Hicks.)

The song I was able to listen to, "My Best Days", has more of a country sound and I had heard that's the route he's taking. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought I heard that on the news a couple weeks ago.

Oh yay! Danny used to be a choir director at a church I attended. He also just did a private concert maybe two months ago in Milwaukee. He is a pretty darn good singer, so much better in person. Enough to give a person goosebumps.

I agree!! I've been previewing the album on Amazon. You can listen to clips of each song. So far, I like all of them! So I will probably buy it.

Being from Milwaukee, my sisters and I love Danny! He's coming home on Saturday and is going to be doing a mini concert...we'll be buying the album there since it's "free" when you purchase the CD. Hopefully we'll get in!
