Is Larry King the worst interviewer ever? I can't stand him.

That being said, even though nothing new was really talked about, I enjoyed it. Even Archie. Looking forward to Monday's interviews, although I'm thinking they're simply recording that show immediately after this show was done...which means no Michael Johns for you ladies...

I expected this thread to be closed by the time I got home tonight...what's going on with you folks?!

I really liked the LKL deal but not so much Larry himself. It is what it is though.
I'm glad that David addressed his brother's cancer and that at the end, they all did a shout out to Luke. They all seemed pretty relaxed but most likely they were all just exhausted. KLC and Syesha in their limited answers seemed like they are more beauty than brains. No, that's not jealousy, just an observation that might be totally off base.

The show was good. But it was so obvious that Larry never watched Idol. He was really clueless.

I liked that everyone voted Michael Johns for all of the "high school" awards...haha.

I was in Las Vegas a few weeks ago at the Mandalay Bay for another concert and saw signs for that show. I do not remember MJ being among the list of performers though.

After MJ got the boot, he was on whatever show David Foster is on for AI commentary. (maybe Access Hollywood) He was helping him sing a song in a different way than he is used to and then said something like, then we'll have that Vegas show in May that they had discussed prior.

As much as I don't really like David Foster, kudos to MJ for getting that gig and doing what he can to further his career.

I really think he and Carly were a very hot couple on the finale. They have a good rapport together on stage.

Its still a player move in my eyes...I am sorry but he was an athlete in HS and seemed to be fairly popular growing up I am sure he knows his way around women. And asking her out on TV was a sure fire way to get her to say yes...great move on his part....

I think there's a difference between player and just a guy with cojones. David has some serious stones and I give him props to ask out the hot[1] chick on TV. He could do substantially better than the TV Guide Channel chick and most likely will. Of all the ladies he's come into contact with I'm a little surprised that's who he went for. Perhaps he's underestimating his star power.

I'm pretty sure once he comes into contact with true celebrities that are down right beautiful no matter what they do he'll trade up if he hasn't already.

Don't forget, he was a bartender/musician too so yeah, I'm sure he was/is a babe magnet to some extent. In that interview, she acted all fangirly when he asked her, and then she gave him a peck on the cheek. But, when he left, he gave her a hug and a kiss on the cheek back. Since I live on the grassy knoll, I'm thinking they already have met. I didn't watch Idol when she was on and have never seen her show, so I have no real opinion at all on her motives. But, just like the Lacey thing, whoever they are giving interviews to, they always include some kind of push for whatever it is they are working on at the moment.

So, it does have a bit of an ulterior motive vibe to it.
That's the part I don't like, but that's Hollywood for you. There are going to be a lot more where they come from, sad to say. It must be hard to stay grounded out there.

Luckily, David seems pretty smart. And hopefully his family will help keep in grounded.

If he wants to date girls just for the fun of it...that's fine by me. But if he wants a real relationship...I'm sure he'll be smart enough to figure out which broads just like him because he's "famous."

Being an athlete in high school does not automatically make someone cool/popular.

PS: The jocks at my school were all douche nozzles that nobody liked except maybe the easy girls that were giving them herpes at the time. These days most of them couldn't make out with a girl if one was growing on their lips. Just sayin.'

Haha...most of the jocks from my school are currently fat, going bald, and parking cars as the casino.

Not that I know of. I know they did the standard publicity after they were kicked off, but I haven't heard of them since.
