How do you think AI folks from other season feel when Seacrest says "this year American Idol has THE most TALENTED competitors EVER."?

I thought George Michaels had an aura that kind of reminded me of 'sick Elvis'.

Where does AI get some of these people?

Ok, match up former SNL comedy movies. Which one do you want to see, Sandler's "Zohan" thing or Mike Myers' film they were flacking tonight? Me, I like Mike Myers most of the time & think his movie actually looks *funny*.

Did anybody else hear that strange microphone popping/bobble tonight and last week? ack.

I really want to know if AI is putting out a DVD of tonight's performances. ZZTop & David Cook....ahhhhhh.

(May 21) -- Luke Menard, who made it to this season's top 16 of 'American Idol,' has announced that he has been diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma.


Former 'American Idol' contestant Luke Menard has announced that he's battling stage Hodgkin lymphoma, but has been told that it's "treatable and manageable."

CBS News reports that a representative for the singer's a capella group said that Menard "had a lingering cough and was having trouble breathing deeply, so he went to the doctor to have it checked out." Initially diagnosed as walking pneumonia, a chest x-ray "led to the stage II Hodgkin diagnosis."

Doctors have told the 29-year-old singer that his condition is "treatable and manageable."

I heard that yesterday. Poor guy. I hope he'll be okay.

I'm still SO excited. My heart was pounding those last few seconds. I said "Cook" right before Ryan. How long until we get his cd?! I hope he gets to pick what's on it.

I am thrilled he won!!! He so deserved it! I have NEVER been so happy to see someone I don't actually know win something. I think the Twins winning the World Series in '87 is as close as I've gotten to this.

I was shaking before they announced the winner. I seriously thought I might just PASS OUT. Then I screamed, sobbed, and drank some champagne.

Three friends called and I called a couple people too. What a GREAT night!

Now to try to keep up with the talk show circuit the next week or so. I know they're on Larry King on Friday and Monday and then Regis coming up too. Where else will he be? Anyone know??

I am going to MISS this show every week. I feel like I've been living for Tuesdays for months now. At least there is the tour to look forward to. And then him solo. I cannot WAIT to see just how huge he ends up being.

We just have to remember most of the Archie fans aren't as mature as Tigg. This would be devastating to them. I know my DD would have been very upset if DC lost. I know she'll go back to school to a bunch of friends who won't be happy. She was one of the only DC fans in 3rd grade.

There are some insane DC posters as well. Not here, of course. I might think that stuff, but some of those fangirlies actually type it out.

I'm sure there are. I just wanted to get some reactions. They were just......more.....dramatic than I was expecting. I couldn't quite think of the way to word that last sentence.

Mike Myers hands down.

I don't know if someone wasn't turning the mics on and off when they were supposed to, or if they had some bad mics, but it was noticeable.

I think it was posted on yesterday's thread. It's very sad news, but hopefully he'll be ok. It was just another stresser for Dc because I think he and MJ, Jason Y and Luke were all buddies from Hollywood week.

I am glad we didnt follow up last years 17 year old winner with the same this year....although I like Jordin and glad she won but I like DC and he adds a new dimension to the faces of AI winners...
