If anybody is flying out of DFW on or around 11/29, American has dropped the cost of their flights from $210+ to prices between $77 - $145.

There is a 6:15 AM flight for $77. This one will get you to Disney (MCO) before 10 AM.

We booked the least expensive American flight to MCO and selected a flight on Southwest coming home. Splitting the airlines saved quite a bit over using the same airline going both ways.

Thanks! I need Nov 26th and Dec 4th. For my dates AA prices are $123.00 and $210.00 each way. Southwest for those dates are $215.00 and $199.00 each way. Delta is $101.00 and $210.00 each way. (all before taxes and fees)

Ooooh! I hate that Air Tran is no longer flying out of Dallas after Nov 22nd. Our flights on Air Tran this past May were $149.40 r/t and my flight for Sept on Air Tran is $210.40 r/t (including fees and I have enough A+ reward credits to upgrade to business class so my bags are also free). I knew airfare was going up once Air Tran left, but didn't realize I'd be paying the same price for a one way ticket, that I've always paid for round trip. Due to work schedules I must fly on weekends and it looks like the only cheap flights now are during the week.

Yikes. Those return flights from MCO back to Dallas are always horrible. The $199 you are seeing on Southwest is about the lowest I have seen as well. We got ours for $5, but we had rewards to use.

If you can afford it, maybe you should go ahead and lock in the $101 from Delta and $199 from SW coming home. $300 is a lot for airfare....and it would stink if they dropped the prices of more dates.

Just giving this another bump for December travelers. I have an aunt (actually my husband's aunt) who is a Sr Executive at AA - she said that these ticket prices will not last. According to her, they are about to have another increase.

Off to check the fares. Thanks for the tip. Also - aubriee - I agree. We are SO DISAPPOINTED that AirTran is no longer flying out of DFW.
