My DD has recently gotten into theses dolls. How far is the store from Disneyland? Is it different / bigger than other stores? Does it have different items in it? How much time would you plan to spend there?

It's 35-40 miles away depending on your route. Most people make it a half or whole day activity and combine it with other things in the area. The store is in The Grove (http://thegrovela.com) which is adjacent to Farmer's Market (http://www.farmersmarketla.com). Other things nearby are LACMA, La Brea Tar Pits and Petersen Automotive Museum. Hollywood Blvd, El Capitan Theater, Chinese Theater are about 5 miles away. Griffith Park and Griffith Observatory are about 10 miles.

I would allow 2 hours to get there! It is about 36 miles, so to get there in 35-40 you would literally have to be flying and not hit any traffic at all, which would be impossible.

The Grove is very nice and is a great place to spend the day! There are other stores and great restaurants! I think they may even have a cafe inside the store? I have not been so don't quote me on that.

Like I said, I have never been to the store but maybe 60-90 minutes in the store? Obviously more if you do any of the activities they offer http://www.americangirl.com/stores/events_index.php?location=LA

Ugh, I meant to say miles, not minutes. Yes, you won't get there that quickly at all. I'd allot 15-20 minutes just to park.

Agreed - that Grove parking garage is a nightmare!
