/American Girl on QVC - 9/11 from 4-6 pm EST

Does anyone know when the other AG dolls will be available for purchase on the QVC website? Also I was wondering if QVC ever has offered outfit or accessory packages the day of the show?

A list of the dolls offered was posted back a ways in this thread...let's see if I can remember them all (there are 10)

Lanie, Rebecca, Julie, Kit, Ruthie, Kaya, Josefina, Ivy, Bitty Baby, and Bitty Twins - I think that is all of them :goodvibes

I am planning to get the Josefina set for DD. That is the doll she's been saying that she really wants for Christmas and she loves the pets, so the goat is perfect.

I'm totally digging the Julie set with the bike, but I think its really the bike that is drawing me in, so I'm going to resist that one. I think we'll need to order Felicity from AG directly anyways since she is retiring, so I'll save my money for that.

I ordered the Bitty Baby on the go set this morning, didn't know they were offering the bitty twins too....wonder if I should have waited and got that one instead? Either way DD will be happy I'm sure. I just didn't want the set to sell out before it aired like I remember sets doing last year. :goodvibes

I think thats whats drawing me in too, and the fact that you are saving $50 lol

But DD really wants Lanie, IDK if I should order her now, or wait, I am afraid she will sell out.

Thank you sooo much for posting this link. I was finally able to find Lanie & place my easy pay order!! Now I can just order the accessories through AG and Christmas is done :yay::yay:

Lanie's accessories are included in the QVC package- her laptop, laptop bag, and bunny. The nature accessories though are different if that's what you're looking for. If it's your daughter's first doll I'd also get a brush and nightie or pj set from AG.---Kathy

Thanks for the info! I ordered Rebecca and Lanie for my daughter. One she will get right away (she saved her bday $$ just for this show) and the other will be a surprise for Christmas. I saw that you were thinking about thye Julie package. It is a really good deal....saving $50. Julie was my daughter's 1st American Girl doll and we both just love her. Her 70's clothes are so cute! My daughter got Julie's bike for Christmas last year from "Santa". I hesitated paying the $80 for it, but what could I do...she asked Santa for it. Let me tell you...the bike it even better in person. It is very detailed and super cute! The dolls can sit nicely on the bike...feet and hands strapped in. My daughter likes to push the bike around our kitchen. Very worth the $$$! Of course all the dolls are adorable, which makes it a hard decision. That's why we are collecting them all. :yay:

what should I do?!?!? I am so torn, IDK if I should order Lanie or what.

DD wants Lanie and one of the new Just Like Me dolls that you could put on the computer.
Christmas is coming and her birthday is in January. I am trying to keep the christmas/birthday spending down this year but these darn AG dolls make it so hard!
B/c not only does she want those 2, but she also likes the new bake set and a table and chair set....ugh AG why must you do this to us?!?!

Wow! These are awesome deals. We love AG, unfortunately I don't see a set that appeals. Although.......I really would like DD to have Kit since I like the short (hopefully easy to maintain) hairstyle. She has MY Samantha and Felicity from ... a long time ago! She used bday money a couple of years to buy Bitty Baby and Bitty Twins. We got her Elizabeth for her birthday this year - she begged for her because of her pierced ears and I did NOT want to buy her because I don't like the "sidekick" dolls much now I'm REALLY glad we did as she has Felicity and Elizabeth. I need to scope out the accessories for them and pick up a few before they are gone.

She has been to the Chicago store and the outlet in Oshkosh (that place is AWESOME ) I want to take her to Atlanta this fall, she wants the My American Girl for the online abilities. I think we are getting her a Maplelea doll for Christmas because the Jenna looks eerily like her LOL So none of the QVC stuff works for me right now but I am SUPER jealous of the moms getting to buy it. Sometimes I think I buy it more for my nostalgic needs than for her (but she does love them!)

Just a thought but I would check out the online stuff before committing to the JLM or My American Girl (which I think it is now - how funny that they changed the name?) if your DD is five. Mine wants one but she is 8 - going on 28 LOL - and very computer literate. She'll navigate most any site with little help or frustration. 3 years ago though? Um, nope  Although, your DD may be more ready. Also, remember that the online one will be around for a bit and Lainie will be gone soon. If she really loves her I'd get Lainie and then give her some money to add to other bday money and let her buy the other one if she still really wants it. Just my opinion.....You can see in my post below yours that DD and I are a tad bit AG addicted and we have gone the birthday money route a couple of times, it worked really well.

Yes, we got Kit for DD last year, it was her first AG and is still her most favorite and played with. Her hair is so easy to maintain, which was the main reason I got Kit for her b/c she was just turning 5 and I figured she wouldn't be able to keep up with the longer, curlier wavier hair that the other AGs have.
Since then she has gotten Molly and Samantha (which I also caved, got her for a great price on Ebay and in great condition). But none even compare to her "best friend" Kit.

If I didn't already have Julie, I'd be all over that deal! The bike and that fantastically hideous jumpsuit? What a great price for all that.

LMAO :rotfl:
Now that I got DD Lanie, she will want Julie tomorrow once she sees her on the bike. Even though I showed it to her on QVC.com...once she sees it in action it will be totally different.

ugh I did it, I gave into Lanie....:headache:

That is what I was going to recommend...lanie. She is only here until Dec. and the other dolls and accessories you can purchase later for her birthday or next Christmas. Good choice...I purchased her too!

Yes, the jumpsuit and bike paired with the doll are an awesome deal! The bike is very functional and even better in person. My daughter loves it!

I got Julie for my birthday last year. She's absolutely gorgeous and I had to wonder what took me so long to get her. She's a 1974 doll, and that's the year I was born, so she's special. :)
