Ok, so a bit off topic, but my daughter has a birthday party this weekend. The kid's mom says she would love an American Girl giftcard as they are making a trip to a AG store soon. Ok, great, but I can't find them anywhere. I don't have time to order from the AG website as the party is this weekend. Anyone know where to find them?

We got them at Costco last Fall. They were discounted, but the amount was high- something like $80 for $100 worth of cards. May be more than you want!

Costco hasn't had them in ages, and I haven't seen them make a return appearance. It was a sweet deal when they had it, though. (I know this isn't telling you where to go to get them, but wouldn't want you running to Costco unnecessarily.)

Does the American Girl website have electronic gift cards? I seem to think they do, so you could try that.

You should be able to do a gift card online and then print it out- not as nice as a plastic one, but it'll do in a pinch.

Our costco still has them. They have had them pretty much constantly since they first showed up last year.
If that's an option your considering I would certainly call before you go there

Lucky! I heard a few got restocked around Easter, but that they ran out and don't have the ability to reorder. I haven't heard of any that still have them, and I've heard reports from all across the country. Have to say I'm jealous because I sure could use another set of discounted cards for the holidays.

My costco in connecticut has $100 (2 $50 cards) for $79.99

Too bad I'm nowhere near Connecticut. Ah well. I did get the American Girl book they have right now (and that my daughter has been reading every time we go there shopping) at a great price so that's something. Costco can be so dangerous to my wallet...
