What is the store in Atlanta like and has anyone done the AG package at a local hotel. Is it worth the stay or just get a regular room. We are planning on taking our DD 7 to get Lanie and get their ears pierced. Do they do that in the store.

And today....I stand here kicking myself in the butt b/c on their last special they had Ruthie, her accessories, book, and Pajama outfit for $75 I believe it was....I can't get JUST THE DOLL for $75 and it was cheap to ship too! DD is REALLY enjoying her Kit that she got for Christmas.

Don't kick yourself. According to my notes, the QVC Ruthie pckg was $119. I remember doing the math and at the time it wasn't that drastically different than than the same special buy pckg AG was offering after tax & shipping for each was tallied. If I remember correctly, it was the Josefina & Elizabeth packages that offered the best QVC values last time...

Count me in the masses waiting for a new code too. Even the spotlight & last chance aren't tempting me this year. I expected this year's winter sale pickins' to be slim but geez, AG could mark something down that I like for a change this season...

WE didn't do the hotel package but did go to the store. We had done the NYC store and lunch and that store is HUGE, several floors. I was stunned that the Atlanta store was just that, like any other store in the mall, about the size of Justice. The lunch was good and we had a party of 12 so they gave us our own room. I was a bit disappointed in the size of the store though. I do know they did hair salon, but not sure about the ear piercing. I gather they will... the just poke a hole thru the ear, nothing fancy.

I am hoping for a code for Julie's bed. It is on backorder till May, uggh. The whole package you can buy but we bought the accessory kit (which is part of the package) when we were in Atlanta last month, thinking that we could get Julie's bed online as they were out of it in the store. www.naughtycodes.com many times carry the AG codes. just fyi.

They do ear piercing in the Atlanta store. DD had her JLY done last year. We dropped the doll off at the salon in the store (wait times depend on how crowded the salon is) and picked her up later. It came with some earrings also, ones that I think you can't buy separately (but I may be wrong). There were also other earring sets available for purchase. I believe it was the same price that is advertised in the catalog and DD was very happy with it.

We went to the Atlanta store this past summer. We really enjoyed it. Of course it was our first AG experience so we didn't have an experience at one of the big AG stores to compare it with. The people working in the store were really nice and they had a lot of things on display, it was nicer than just a mall store though it isn't huge. We had lunch in the bistro and it was really nice, the food was good and it was a fun experience for my dd (3 at the time) and me. We didn't do a hotel package because my parents live in Birmingham and we just drove over for the day.

My daughter got enough money for Christmas to buy Lanie on her own.
However, her birthday is also in March so I put he roff on buying her just yet. I plan to let her pay for the doll but possibly order some other things too from us for her b-day.

I am part of their email list, do they send out special' offers' or codes for your dd's birthday? I'd love to get free shipping, or at least so much off. I don't want to pay a bunch of money in shipping if I don't have to.

By any chance were you and your family in DW last sept? I think we might have met you and your family...we have a China adopted daughter and where there with three other China adoptive families.

Yes, we were there in September. Were you at LeCellier? We were there one night and there was a group of other adoptive families. We also ran into some from that group earlier that day at Epcot.

We had an amazing trip...hope your family did also!!! Very funny! I will PM you tomorrow with the names of some sellers. We had a wonderful trip and drove back up for a day in November for my birthday. We're hoping to go back in a few weeks. We must use the FL resident passes. My daughter just got Lanie for her birthday along with the camper. Such fun to play with! She also has Molly & Ivy. I'm loving all of the American Girl stuff too.

My daughter ordered Lanie's starter kit with her Christmas Money. I hated her paying the full shipping but she would not wait she is coming today. I told her I would buy her the Camper and she was looking through the book to make sure saw how much it cost and said no I can get two more dolls for that lol. Count me in on someone who is looking for a free shipping code. Even though we live in NJ and can go to the NYC store anytime, it is much cheaper with the free shipping code, because we also don't have to pay sales tax. We're going to the NYC store in May so if no code by then, then DD will get Lanie then.

Not really.... the ones that can be shared are usually printed inside, like "FREESHIP" or something like that. The keycode on your catalog is special for you.
