American from Waterloo

Just scored a great rate for flights on American Airlines from the Waterloo Airport to Orlando for August.

$420 CAD taxes in, free seat selection , flight to US has 1 free bag but back is $25. Parking is only $7.00 per day and best part afternoon departures both ways. (No 4:00 AM wake calls, )

They are connecting flights through Chicago , but we are fine with that. Did this flight in November and even arriving back to the big snow storm and taking 15 minutes to unthaw the windshield wipers I was home 45 minutes after the plane landed.( US customs time included)

Had a budget of $300 US from Buffalo or $500 from Toronto so was thrilled to see this rate, usually it is in the $600-$700 range. Buffalo would have been cheaper, but usually the cheaper flights are early and then you need a hotel so it is pretty close, especially with the exchange rate.

Now I need to decide, cruise or parks!

We LOVE the Waterloo Airport!! Super convenient for us (about a 20 minute drive from door to parking lot) and the size is a bonus. I will tuck that piece of information in the back of my brain for our next trip! The taxes at Pearson can kill you

I found flights for my dates in August for $450. Actually looking forward to not having the drive to/from Buffalo this time. The drive home always seems so long!

I'll keep an eye on our dates. Right now they're $494 CAD and I need them lower than that. We're budgeting only $1000 for three of us in September. I like the $6/day parking though. The drive will be a few hours for us though, so I'd have to get a good deal on the flights to drive past Pearson to get there.
