American Express Offers,, how did I not know this?

Were you able to sign up? As far as I know, it was a Cyber Monday offering that you can't sign up for anymore (we found this out the hard way, my Hilton card got registered because AmEx sent me a heads-up email, but our other cards aren't - the link says it's expired)....

My understanding is the same - that you had to add the offer on Cyber Monday. DH & I have different accounts, but same card type. I saw the Amazon deal on Monday added it to my account. But DH forgot to add it to his account and when he looked again yesterday it wasn't there.

Are any of you concerned that someone will hack in to your card or even identity by linking these deals together? That would be my concern.

No, we've redeemed dozens of offers over the last year and both the offer & cash back transactions are handled by AMEX directly. You add the offers to your card through the AMEX website, on the same secure page as your account activity. The cash back (statement credit) is added to your account by AMEX as well. By adding the deal, you're just flagging your account so that AMEX will look for that merchant code in your purchases/statement to give you the cash back.

no.... you can look for the offer under the main card + the authorized users card number,since they're different numbers, they both can get the offer.... read this on the many blogs about this... once you see the offer on your card,just click 'enroll' and go!

Thank you for this!!! It turns out that I never registered my authorized user card online (that DH is primary on), so that's why I never saw the 2nd AMEX card on my account when I logged in (I use a different login than him)! Doh - could've saved another $50 (2 cards in this situation) off of Amazon! But now I'll be ready in the future.
 
I wish I had known this. I just spent enough to have gotten the Amazon offer. I am glad you posted and I am glad I am not the only one who didn't know.

I am going now to sign up for the Amazon offer so next time I make an order it will be there for me.
 

I did the AMC theater $5 reward yesterday, by purchasing a gift card.....just a thought if anyone is interested.

I haven't gotten my credit from Small Business Saturday, either. In years past, the e-mail came in immediately after the purchase. Anybody else have the same issue this year with Small Business Saturday??

I was pleasantly surprised that this year, all of my credits showed up within days...however, last year, not so. I contacted AmEx through their secure message center because the credits hadn't shown up for weeks. They were apologetic and issued the credits soon after.

Also, I wanted to add that I didn't get a single email this year regarding SBS, I saw the credits when I logged into my accounts. The other "offers for you" that I have redeemed (like the Mobil and the Costco), however, I DID receive emails thanking me for participating.

They have taken away the secure message center now. It says they now offer live chat instead, so you can communicate that way. Except there is no live chat button, and only twice, while digging around my account has a window ever popped up. So annoying.

I called last night with a question about my Amazon order and the $25 statement credit and got through right away; so if you have to call, its not too bad.

Thanks!! I was wondering about it...I also do not see a chat button!! I do like their offers, though, so I guess I have to deal with it...but very annoying, I agree!

I had a chat button finally pop up after messing around on the sight for quite awhile, while I do other stuff in other windows, only to click on it and be told Chat is Unavailable.
 
got my $25 statement credit for ordering $75 or more at Amazon. What a great promo. I will be checking for these offers every month now. I still have quite a few I can sign up for!

Even stranger today I went back into my account, and clicked on the contact us, and the envelope icon, and ask a question, and there was a chat live button already there! She had to manually credit my account with the $10.

Isn't it annoying when you have to chase after them for their offers!? Surprisingly, I got all my credits for the $10 small business deal, but not the Costco $15 one yet....

And now we'll see how long it takes for the manual $10 credit to show up, because it's not there yet. Neither is the Amazon, but I'll give that another day or two before I get concerned. My Best Buy and AMC showed up really quickly with no chasing.
 
I called earlier in the week to ask if the $75 at Amazon had to be in one transaction (it does not) and the credit was there 24 hours later. Coincidence or did the rep manually credit it? He didn't indicate that he was going to.
