So, I woke up this morning to see on the news that the flight attendants at American Airlines say they can't come to an agreement with the airline, and would like to strike.
Now, I know that they have been pushing for a strike for awhile, and the National Mediation Board has to agree to allow it, which starts a 30 day "cooling off" period before the strike, but what would happen if a strike is agreed to to those planning trips? It sounds like they've tried for quite a while to agree, with no results, and that the union is eager to strike.
We go to DL on June 11th, so I think we're okay if they have to have a 30 day cooling off period, but as a mom deep in planning, that is worrisome. They cannot strike BEFORE the 30 day period is over, can they? And when/if they do strike (which sounds likely), how will that affect other families trying to travel to DL?
