Hello Again everyone,

Thank you all for answering all my questions. I have a few more.

Which DVC resorts have on-site dining? Room Service to Villas?

What boat services do the DVC resorts have? Transportation to which parks via boat?

Is the walk to Epcot from Beachclub and Boardwalk a reasonable walk?

Do any of the DVC resorts have marinas that rent personal watercraft like the Polynesian?

Is everyday housekeeping (for extra pts) available at all DVC resorts?

Which DVC resorts are most difficult to get a two bedroom? 3-bedroom?

I just cannot decide!!!

Thanks,

Cindy

Everyday housekeeping is available at all resorts, but not for extra points, it is a cash item, prices are for each requested cleaning day. $25 for studios, $30 for 1 bedrooms, $40 for 2 bedrooms, $60 for a Grand Villa. If you only need towels, towels packs of 4 are $6. Trash and Towel service is $10.

All WDW DVC resorts, and Vero beach have some onsite dining options, SSR and OKW do not have room service. SSR currently does not have a full service restaurant, they depend upon their proximity to Downtown Disney.

BWV and BCV are connected to Epcot and MGM by boat, OKW and SSR are connected to each other and DtD Marketplace & Westside by boat. VWL is connected to MK by boat. All other connections are by motorcoach.

OKW has a marina...I think VWL does, also. SSR can use the marina at DtD.

Not all DVC resorts have 3 bedroom Grand Villa units, I'm not sure which ones don't, but I'm thinking BWV and VWL...someone will correct me if I am mistaken, I'm sure :)

In general, VWL is probably the hardest location to obtain reservations because it is the smallest resort. BWV and BWV are next. OKW and SSR are large resorts, and fill up last, usually.

BCV doesn't have GV. BWV does have GV. VWL is the smallest, next BCV, next BWV. OKW and SSR are the two largest.

BCV has a marina located at the lighthouse where you can rent watercraft. Also, many cruises (including Illuminations and the kids' Pirate Cruise) go out of that marina.

BCV is also the only DVC property with a character b'fast on site...it is Goofy's beach bfast with Minnie and Chip 'n Dale.

BCV also has a spa with massage services, and the Sandcastle club...a really fun-filled child care center.

BCV has Beaches 'n Cream (which is REALLY good). It also has Hurricane Hanna's at SAB which sells the famous Beaches and Cream hamburgers and "adult beverages" to be enjoyed poolside at SAB. For casual restaurant dining, there is Cape May which has a seafood buffet in the evenings, and for fine dining, there is Yachtsman Steakhouse....and, don't forget all the restaurants in the World Showcase (about a 5 minute walk away).

For quick bites, the newly-remodeled Marketplace has wonderful gelato, a small grocery store, decadently rich pastries, and some really good custom built salads that seem to be a big hit (I see a lot of CM's getting them).

BCV does NOT have grand villas, and seems to be consistently one of the first resorts to fill-up, so you need to plan ahead to stay there. They do have room service, valet parking, and all the amenities of any deluxe resort at WDW.

Okay....so, I am a little obsessed with this resort....it really is amazing!!!

OKW do not have room service.
Just wanted to add.....OKW has limited onsite room service (4 pm to midnight) from :
http://www.allearsnet.com/menu/men_sasp.htm

Also, we use this offsite restaurant and they have delivered to our OKW villa:
http://www.giordanos.com/menu.php
LAKE BUENA VISTA, FL
(407)239-8900
12151 S. APOPKA VINELAND RD.

Alot of people think there is absolutely no room service at OKW.....but just wanted to add there are some options that were worth mentioning.

OKW has a full service onsite restaurant as well---Olivia's.

OKW has a marina with watercraft rentals and boat service to Downtown Disney entertainment and dining. This resort allows parking of your car right outside your door and does have Bell Service should you desire.

OKW, SSR and BWV all have Grand Villas with the point cost per night being least at OKW and most at BWV. I believe BWV only has about 9 GV's and I understand they go quickly.
Offsite, Vero Beach and Hilton Head resorts also have 3 bedroom accomodations.

I am inquiring about your experience with Giordanos? Were you pleased???

Regards...

Yes, very pleased King Leonidas. The last time we used them for delivery was about 2 years ago. We got the pizza (very good) as well as salads and sandwiches. The delivery took about 45-50 min as I recall, but it was worth it. :)

SSR will have a full service restaurant soon. They are turning the Turf Club into a full service restaurant. Should be up I think by this summer.

BWVs Grand Villas are really expensive, BUT they do all face the Boardwalk.

With the exception of SAB and the room service menu - and of course the rooms themselves, my personal belief is that the amenties of BWV and BCV are "shareable" - its close enough that wanting access to surrey bikes or BW entertainment shouldn't keep you from staying at BCV and wanting access to B&C and the marina shouldn't keep you from staying at BWVs.

(Rainy weather may make a difference).

To Beca's list of restaurant in the Y&BC/BCV I wanted to add Yacht Club Galley which serves B,L & D. Breakfast is a la carte or a nice buffet sans characters.

Crew's Cup is a wonderful pub like lounge that serves good sandwiches and even a steak. Very attractive and a far better choice than Big River in our book. We really enjoy it for a quiet meal.

I am with Beca... I just love the BCV so my responses may be a little biased.

As I stated in one of your other threads, if you looking at two bedrooms. There are only 25 Dedicated 2 Bedrooms at BCV with 2 queens in the 2nd bedroom. This is very important to our family as I have a boy and a girl that both want to sleep in thier own regular bed (not a pull out sleeper sofa). I have called more than once after the 7 month window and these rooms are gone! BWV does not have any 2 bedroom dedicateds with 2 queens in the 2nd bedrom. I think SSR does, but I don't like the location.

You can literally walk from your room to Epcot in 5 minutes from the BCV which is so nice after illuminations. (walking from the boardwalk will take you 10 mins). You can also walk to the Boardwalk in 5 mins from the BCV.

Both BCV and BWV have boat transportation to MGM.

The marina at BC has personal watercraft you can rent.

BCV has room service which I have been spoiled by many times.
