Amending tickets and fastpass?

I could have sworn I read somewhere that if you amend your tickets (eg, add a park hopper) it deletes your fastpass selections. Can anyone confirm or deny this? It seems like such a weird glitchy thing I sort of can't believe its accurate.

I can't find any information on changing tickets. Like at all. Disney's site gives me restaurant information when I enter 'add a park hopper'. I've been so on top of my information game for everyone on this trip for so long and now that we're 4 days out I'm suddenly a moron. We may decide to ditch MK midday and go to Epcot, but I don't want to screw up other plans for the next day.

After making a change, If you no longer have valid tickets for the date(s) on which you have booked FPs, those FPs will drop off.
But simply upgrading existing tickets will not affect your booked FPs.
