Amending Reservation?

I may or may not need the following information depending on the outcome of the situation but it would really help if anyone could answer my question!

Have 4 rooms booked at AKL for August 2015, package includes park tickets and dining, total of 11 adults. One person is now thinking of not coming on the trip, wondering what the situation is if we removed them from the booking, or is it easier to take one of our other friends and just change 1 name on the reservation? What are the associated fees? Might help to add we haven't yet paid in full, only part paid off. Obviously I know the room price wouldn't change and we'd be paying the same for a room with less people in it but didn't know if there would be a charge for altering anything.

I think if you cancel a person there will be a £50 amendment fee as you would be cancelling one lot of tickets and dining thus reducing the overall cost of the trip, but not sure if you just swap with another person. As that doesn't reduce the price I don't think there is a fee. But I'm not certain about either but I think this is what I've read.

Yeah I had thought if you were increasing price of booking/keeping the same there was no charge but I'm guessing if I'm cancelling a set of park tickets then that needs to be accounted for but £50 isn't so bad. Better than having to buy the ticket!
