How close to your actual trip can you continue to amend your reservation? I have tentative trips for both Thanksgiving and Christmas under the free dining offer. Which one we're going to keep is still up for negotiation, but I hope to decide sooner rather than later. I already plan to change the Christmas reservation by moving it back one day and to switch from AKL to YC or BC. I'm also not sure if I want upgrading to the deluxe dining package. I'm too indecisive for my own good. Thanks.
You can make changes to your package without a change fee up to the day your final payment is due (30 days before arrival). Any changes made less than 30 days before arrival will incur a $50 change fee which is often waived if your new total increases the cost of your package. If you make changes within 10 to 14 days (not sure of the exact number) of your arrival date there is an additional $15 paperwork fee that is assessed on all changes. The deadline for making changes to the dining plan is no later than 3 days before arrival date.
Even though you have free dining on your current package you might not be able to keep it if you change resorts or modify your dates because only a limited number of rooms were included in the free dining promo so there might not be any left.
It is likely that you won't be able to get a free dining room at the YC or BC at this point. Only a limited number of specific rooms are made available for the offer. When they are booked, there is no further availability for that offer, Even changing dates by one day may make the offer not available.
