I cannot find much info on this place. It seems like it could be fun though. For anyone who has been or just knows about it, how do you find out what movies are playing? Do they take reservations or just walk in? How was your experience? It would be me, Dh, DD(12) and DS(8). TIA for any and all info.

It's a huge theatre with many screens. Go to amc theaters.com and you can find the movies and times there. We usually buy our tickets at the door.

Yes, sorry. I mean the fork and screen where you and have dinner while you watch a movie. Anyone out there done this and have insight? Thanks
I'm sure there are tons of reviews on tripadvisor.com and urbanspoon.com

All you do is buy a movie ticket for the designated Fork & Screen theater. Once inside, you can order food. Look up the Pleasure Island AMC and see which movies are available for Fork & Screen.

We love doing the Fork & Screen! You can buy tickets in advance on the amc website if you want, but since we usually go to a matinee we just buy tickets at the door. For an evening show or busier times I would consider buying in advance since you get to pick your seats when you buy. The food isn't spectacular, but it is good and so much fun to have it delivered right to your seat. You can also get beer, wine and mixed drinks. There is a button you push when you need drinks or if you want to add anything to your order. The seats are some of the most comfortable I've ever been in. We saw a 3D movie last time, and I thought the glasses made it harder to see your food though.

NOTE1: Dine-In movies have been around for a while. They haven't had much change. As
with most others. AMC at Downtown Disney does have average food quality. As a reference,
think Chili's or Applebee's for a comparison. The Wings are quite tasty, as is the Crab Rangoon
Dip. The food is slightly high priced, but one would expect this. Some may not feel it, but I
thought the waiters did disturb the viewing. They are not noisy, but the walking is definitely
a distraction. At home someone getting up for eats is OK, but when paying a high price for
a movie, it does get on the nerves a little, as you are able to order throughout the movie.
.
NOTE2: The movies are "normal" for any theater. So, your favorite presentation could easily
be the movie during your meal. You oreder from your seat and the food is brought during the
show. You are able to order throughout the movie.

We loved it. We tried it a while back (Memorial Day 2012, IIRC) but I agree with Rusty's assessment of the food - very much like a Chili's or Applebees level of quality, and not significantly higher priced than the big chains. My daughter and I shared wings and fish & chips and enjoyed everything we had. It was also very nice having a waiter during the film so we didn't have to miss anything if we wanted drink refills. I wouldn't "waste" park time on a movie if I was a very occasional visitor to WDW but as frequent visitors we thought it was a great way to spend an evening after a shorter park day. It can also be a nice break from the heat or storms on days the weather isn't cooperating.

The showtimes and which films are being shown in the fork and screen theatres are listed on AMC's website, and IIRC there is a small annual passholder discount on tickets (I can't recall if that applied to fork & screen or was only valid on normal showings, tho).

We have one by our house and we like it. It's assigned seating (at least my theater is) which is great we order the tickets in advance and don't need to get there crazy early to get a seat.

The food is ok nothing special but I like getting a appetite and a drink or a desert and a drink it's a nice way to see a movie!

We have been to the DTD Fork and Screen as well as the one near our home. Even though this is on Disney property, it is not Disney themed in any way and they show all the same movies that other theaters around the country are showing. We went to Hunger Games Chasing Fire (opening weekend) when we were there in 2013. It's a nice experience; and it was great that we were able to purchase tix and select our seats in advance. I completely agree with all previous comments about the food. The tix prices are very good (actually a little cheaper than a non Fork and Screen), but, of course the food will cost you more than a soda and popcorn, so be prepared for a pricier evening. Also, depending of if you have this kind of theater near your home and how much time you will be in WDW, I wouldn't waste my park time going to a movie. We were in Orlando for 15 days in 2013, and have APs, so it was nothing for us to do it then. Not sure yet if we will do it this November, or not. This theater is on the Fandango app....you can buy tix and select seats through the app. Of course the schedule of movies is only out about a week ahead. Hope this helps!!

Is it annoying having staff coming in and out with people's food? Do you pay for any food you order at the end?

We didn't have any probs with wait staff walking in front of us. We made sure to order our entire meal before the movie started and requested that our dessert be brought out after they cleared our dinner plates. The meal is paid for just like it would be in a restaurant....ticket is brought to you after you done eating and will not be ordering any more and you pay with a debit/credit card/cash....

There are two entrances to the theater building, one near Planet Hollywood, one near House of Blues. If there happens to be a long line to buy tickets before entering the building, go inside and use the ticket kiosk with a charge card.

Thanks for the info. We've seen many movies at the DTD theater, but have never tried the Fork & Screen. I've read a lot of not so good reviews on the food, but I'm thinking we need to try it at least once.

1) Please be aware that for another 1½-yrs, traffic at DTD will remain horrendous.
2) I suggest parking at OKW or SSR and taking the boat to DTD.
