I have never order used books from them before are they in pretty good condition?

They should list the condition. My husband is the tech manager for an online college text book marketplace that's similar to amazon and they always have their sellers list the condition. Usually, the cheaper the book, the worse the condition is.

I just bought a book from them. It was listed as "Like New" condition and it was. It was $4.10 or so after shipping (I think it was 11 cents for the book at 3.99 shipping). Either way it was for my book club and I wasn't going to bother trying to get it from the library for $4. I read it and passed it along to another book clubber to read it too.

The ones we have bought have been accurately represented. They describe the condition fairly in my experience.

I usually buy all my books used because medical school books are crazy expensive. To save even more money I use the website gettextbooks.com to find where I can get a book for the cheapest price. The worse I've ever had is a book with some highlighting in it. I've saved a ton of money ordering used books and I'd highly recommend it especially for school books (campus bookstores really rip you off).

I've bought both text books and lesuire reading books from Amazon used and haven't had any problems with used books. The sellers usually do a good job listing the condition, I don't think any have ever been in worse shape than represented. If anything they've been in better shape than listed.

I agree. I've bought used books from them many times (textbooks for my daughter plus other books too). The sellers have always done an excellent job describing the book condition. In fact, I've bought several used books that were listed as like new, and they did indeed look brand new. :thumbsup2

I have ordered a few and they were as described. If described as good then they were good, great then they were great. I guess it depends on the seller.

I've sold books on Amazon, and take a lot of care to describe the book's condition accurately. I have a lot of hardback coffee-table type of books that I purchased from a previous employer, and try to carefully describe any issues with the dust jackets or pages. I figure that if I am honest about the condition of the books I sell, buyers will purchase from me again if I have something they want. I'm sure not everyone is as careful, but I've never had an issue with books I've purchased or with buyers coming back to me.
