Has anyone sent an Amazon Prime order to a Disney resort. Looking to order a case of water and a few other things to be shipped and waiting for us when we get there.

Yep - just did it - it will be waiting by check-in/guest services- any perishables will be stored near luggage area - you can pick by either or have it delivered to room - $6 charge per box

We did last month. I asked about it when we checked in and then went to the parks. I was not given the option to pick it up myself. When we got back to our room, the package was waiting for us. There was a $6.00 delivery charge put on the package. But I wasn't actually charged. The package was small, so I don't know when it's a larger/heavier package if the fee would have been applied.

My fear would be that Amazon ships items in multiple boxes and I would get charged $6 for each box. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the resort shop only charged $15 for a case of water (Dasani). depending on the cost of the water from Amazon, it may be easier to just get the water from the resort shop.

I ordered fro Prime Now last month. When I went to pick it up at Bell Services, I decided it was too heavy to carry 3 cases of water, a case of flavored Perrier, and 2 packs of Gatorade, so I asked Bell Services to bring it to our room. They did not mention any charge, but I did give them a tip that would have covered the delivery.

is water delivered thru the amazon prime , pantry or now?

This is an important question. These are three different services.

If you order through regular Amazon Prime, your package will be shipped by FedEx, UPS or USPS. If you are staying a hotel with a convention center, FedEx and UPS packages go to the convention center business office. The convention center business offices have their own schedule for handling packages: https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/business-centers/

USPS goes to a central receiving area and then is taken to the front desk of your hotel.

The Disney website says, "Please note that a $6 per package handling fee will apply to all packages that are received through the Front Desk or are delivered to your Disney Resort hotel room."

So I believe the $6 per package would apply if the package is received at the Front Desk. I believe it also would apply if a package is delivered by a delivery service and left with Bell Services, and you have Bell Services bring it to your room. My understanding is that if your package is delivered to Bell Services and you get it yourself at Bell Services, there is no $6 fee.

I don't know if Amazon Prime Now or Amazon Pantry require you to be there personally to accept delivery or if the package can be left with Bell Services.

We used Prime Now in February at CBR for a number of breakfast items, milk, water, and alcohol. My DH was on property and when the delivery person arrived he met him at the check in building (Old Port Royale). He was set to just walk the items back to the room but a friendly nearby CM offered him a ride on a golf cart. So it worked out great and I thought the prices were fair, and there was a 2 hour delivery window. Delivery was also free because we spent over $35. I'd definitely use it again.

I'd order from Prime Now vs Prime. Prime Now, you can basically order when you land at MCO and bell services will hold it for you. Or at least they did last year.

so prime now if i'm just getting two cases of water would charge me because it's under $35 i guess? then the $6 fee at resorts.

Yes there would be a delivery charge under $35.... in which case might not be worth it depending on just how much you'd save on the cases of water. For us we had a larger amount of stuff plus alcohol so it made it a bargain. Plus there was no fee for us at the resort, since my husband met the delivery driver on site and there was no exchange of anything with the front desk CMs.

If your are only interested in bottled water, why not bring a few with you and just refill them from the sink? Most bottled water is just filtered tap water if you read the label.

Or get a re-useable Brita water bottle, you can fill them from anywhere and it will filter the water. I understand that some people are bothered by the tap water at Disney (I'm not personally but I read it a lot on here).

I did not like the taste of Orlando water. I was very happy that I ordered the bottled water. Not sure if a Brita would remove the funky taste since I didn’t try that.
