Amazon Pantry and DVC

I've been told that some DVC members have used Amazon's Pantry service to order some of their groceries in lieu of shopping locally. I use Amazon all the time, so the concept intrigues me. However, I have a few questions:

- How far ahead should I order? Can I specify a delivery date when I place my order?

- Am I able to include my reservation number on the shipping address?

- What are the limitations on ordering food?

- Are perishable items able to be ordered?

- Can you have wine delivered?

- Has anyone experienced any issues with this service when using it for DVC?

And , as always, if anyone has any other pearls of wisdom they would like to contribute, I am always grateful.

Yours in Disney,

Jeff

I just placed my Amazon prime pantry order today. We are arriving at POR in one week. Amazon says 1-4 days for delivery. It will possibly sit at the resort waiting for us to arrive. I put my name and hold for guest arrival (date), and the address of the resort. I ordered water, disposable coffee cups and lids, and snacks for the room. Go onto the Amazon site and search for your needs and make sure they say prime pantry. You will fill up your box and pay 5.99 shipping for whatever fits in that box. Each item will show you the percentage of the box it will occupy. They do not send perishable items. No fruit, dairy, cheese.
As far as wine, I am packing in the checked baggage several small "box wines". Three glasses per box. Botabox wine is really pretty good! My favorite is Rex Goliath. Placing the boxes in many Ziploc bags for added insurance. Wouldn't want to waste the wine!
Have no experience with DVC.
Good luck!

I had two Prime Pantry boxes delivered to Pop in August. It was so convenient! I ordered water (they had a deal with buy 4 items get free shipping, plus I had credits to use, and Dasani 6 packs for $2+ were part of that, so had lots of water!). We also ordered coffee, disposable cups (same as wickedwitch1), some toiletries, snacks, other drinks, etc... No, sadly, they don't do wine.
I ordered one box two weeks before we went, then another one a few days later. I'd allow a week or so for it to get there.
