Amazon hiring work from home positions

I wonder if you could do it for as little as two hours a day.

It said something about 12 hours a week so maybe?? I would like to apply but I homeschool my kids and that plus all their activities really is a FT job. Maybe in a different stage of life I can find something like this.

Interesting. This would be perfect for my son the student, except being available for 'any' shift. We are in the right state.

I love that, must be available for all shifts, all holidays and the availability range is 21 hours/day. So this works for unemployed people with no children or if you have somebody available to watch them 24/7.

A friend of mine just interviewed for that, and they offered her a long-term (instead of just holiday) job with them that pays $10 an hour, up to 30 hours a week (you get to pick your shifts.)
They want you to use Windows Defender instead of a third party virus app because its easier for them to have all the computers using the same thing.

I considered it, but I don't want to have to set up a separate monitor and keyboard for my laptop.

In order to apply, you must have a home residence in Arizona, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Washington, West Virginia, Wisconsin or Virginia.

I'm assuming it has to do with minimum wage/taxes or being within driving distance of an Amazon training center.

I would also guess labor laws. California has some really strict labor laws for instance so I would think for a job that could be in any state they would pick low minimum wage and easy laws to work with. I know Amazon has a warehouse opening in NJ as they keep advertising they are hiring but they are not listed as an option on this list so I don't think being close to a warehouse is on their list of requirements.

Are these Customer Service jobs? I have had some pretty horrible chats with them so I would be happy to hear that they are hiring in the US again.

I see you have to uninstall your virus protection. Wonder why you have to do this for the computer requirement?
I wondered this too. I figured if someone decides to do this, they should use a separate computer that is used only for work.
No way would I be doing online banking and bill pay with no McAfee, Norton, etc.

seems like a lot of requirements for $10/hour :rolleyes2

I actually agree - I'd think this was a job for 16-22s to get their foot in the door while attending school and living at home...

I mean, 2000 hours (50 weeks/40 hours - normal full time year) is still only $20K, even if it is at home (and yes, I know that part can be very valuable)...You can usually make more per hour babysitting 1-2 kids (and do it your way on your time - here an experienced parent would get $15/hour minimum for that), and you could also do that at home...
