Amazon Fire Stick for dummies. (That's me)

For those of you that stream Amazon Prime, how are you doing that? I have chromecast but the Amazon app doesn't support it. Is the fire stick my best option?

I was streaming to my Kindle Fire for Prime. Now I use the Fire stick and stream to the TV. Stream Netflix using the Stick too. Very happy with the Stick. and Like that it comes with a remote. My brother in law has Chromecast and doesn't especially like that he has to use his phone as a remote.

I have a roku 2 and just helped set up a roku streaming stick. They have amazon prime, hulu plus and Netflix. They also have youtube. I would have to check the roku 2 but the streaming stick had google play which I think has some movies you can pay for.

In addition roku has several other channels including many free channels such as crackle. The free channels don't offer much or any new shows etc but many show old shows/movies plus if you have preschool age children there seems to be many free shows for that age.
