Hi
I was wondering if anyone is recieving email from amazon like this, im getting mail that seems to be from them and it says that "someone is trying to use my credit card information and that my bank has called them to varify, could I please reconfirm my information with them by clicking the following link".
Obviously my first reaction is if my bank wanted to varify purchases they wouldnt contact amazon to contact me. They would contact me themselves.
Yes? Ive gotten two so far, i refuse to click on the link.
Just wondering if anyone else is having this happen?

Thanks
Tink

I haven't received anything from Amazon but DO NOT click on the link provided and DO NOT enter ANY personal information, especially your credit card information.

I'd call both my bank and Amazon and ask them about it. There are so many scam emails like this that I get (from other places..ebay, paypal, etc) and I forward them to the spoof@ email addresses for the companies and they always say that they're not official emails.

type in the Amazon link into your web browser - look for the lock sign in the bottom right hand screen to know you are in the secure portion of Amazon ....

if you hit the link for the email that was sent - the lock will never be there - and the page does not look the same

As said before - it is a scam email .... just delete it

I've gotten 2 in 2 days as well. I emailed Amazon this morning, they confirmed that it is fake. As usual, I didn't click on any link (I never do) and deleted them.
