Amazon did recently offer $10 gift cards for $5.

I shop Amazon ALOT and they never have any coupon codes - nor do they participate in places like UPromise or MyPoints where you collect points for gift cards. Luckily, they have very reasonable prices and mostly free shipping if you spend over $25.00Please note that the price of True Blood: The Complete Second Season has decreased from $39.49 to $36.99 since you placed it in your Shopping Cart. Items in your cart will always reflect the most recent price displayed on their product detail pages.
However - I've often gotten stuff cheaper if I didn't need it right away by just leaving it in my cart.

I forgot to mention this! This is my favorite part!!! I ALWAYS leave items in my cart and love when the price decreases...although sometime it increases or even goes out of stock but ...![]()
I have about a dozen items in my cart right now. The best example of cornflake's explanation? Box set of "The West Wing"; MSRP $299.99, I ended up getting it late last year for either $98 or 90.88... after keeping it in my cart for over two yearscornflake said:If you leave items in your cart (place them in the cart and then 'save for later'), when you log in, hit 'cart' and it'll show you the updated prices of everything in the cart. You'll be surprised how much stuff goes up and down.
Some stuff may go up, usually comes back down but it may take a bit. Some stuff goes down, then goes back up, etc.... if it's something you feel "should" be somewhat cheaper, and you don't need it right away, I'd stick it in the cart and check daily.

When it goes out of stock--that's when I save the most money!!
