Hi

I've decided to buy my hairdryer/straighteners from Amazon.com

We do have a 30 min scheduled grocery stop en route from airport but I think that will be used up checking out snacks and drinks!

Our first stop is at Hard Rock Hotel for 3 nights and then on down to Disney for 18 nights.

Anyone with experience of ordering a package to be delivered to the hotel, I would be very grateful if you could answer my qs! I did a search but couldn't find answers that I'm sure I have read before!

How early should I order from amazon US site?

Do I just put my name, my arrival date and hotel address?

Who do I ask for my parcel when I arrive?

What to do if it doesn't arrive in time?

Will it be sent back to amazon undelivered?

Thanks in advance

Nikki :flower3:

i only know the answer for disney resorts, not universal resorts..

i suggest you call up the hard rock hotel and get the answer directly from them..

this is what you do for a disney resort..

your shipping address is as follows:
your name (arrival date)
c/o name of disney resort
address of disney resort

so if your name is jane doe and you're staying at the pop century and you're arriving on sept 1, your shipping address would be as follows:

Jane Doe (arrival September 1)
c/o Disney's Pop Century Resort
1050 Century Drive
Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

but that's for disney - i called them up to confirm that..

if i were you, i'd call up the hard rock and ask them..

but really if i were you, i'd ship it to the disney resort where you're staying for 18 days....you have a better chance of it getting to you there..

We had delivery to off-site hotel without any problem.
I just emailed hotel that a package would be arriving for me :)

I disagree that you'd be better getting it shipped to your Disney resort -- Hard Rock Hotel is AMAZING for deliveries!

I always get stuff shipped (just use your name and reservation number for the first line of the address). The deliveries are always sat waiting in our room when we get back from the parks. BIG thumbs up for HRH :thumbsup2

Thanks for great advice guys :goodvibes

It didn't occur to me to email hotel also

regarding how far in advance - if you're using standard shipping, then 2 weeks in advance..

if you're using overnight shipping then i guess a week in advance....

I'm planning on sending a travel hairdryer from Amazon to my onsite hotel. If it arrives sooner than I do, will the hotel just keep it aside for me until I'm there to retrieve it?

yes, that's why you put your arrival date in your name (see my example in post #2 above)..
that way, they can look you up and know when you're arriving...

they will hold it for your arrival..

i called up disney to get the instructions from them...
